1 Wheel problem of the 2021 BMW 330

Failure Date: 04/22/2025

The front axle support and the right front control arm bearing bracket may be separating, which is causing my vehicle to continually fall out of alignment. This ongoing issue is leading to accelerated tire wear, despite the fact that I have not driven many miles. The manufacturer needs to address the underlying cause, as the dealership continues to recommend alignments without resolving the root problem. I have already paid for two alignments, yet the vehicle consistently goes out of alignment again.

2 Wheel problem of the 2019 BMW 330

Failure Date: 07/29/2020

One of the four original tires, pirelli cinturato p7 all season 225 /45 r18 95h xl bsw bm rf, had blowout on the internal wall within only 15,000 miles. The tire blew out at rest. No notification of failure on the monitoring system. No damage to the tire rim. Unless it struck a pothole not felt well driving. The is the second tire to do this on the vehicle in the first year of ownership. Seems like the tires fail on their own.

3 Wheel problem of the 2019 BMW 330

Failure Date: 06/03/2020

The three of the four original tires, pirelli cinturato p7 all season 225 /45 r18 95h xl bsw bm rf, have had blowouts on the internal wall within one month and only 13,000 miles. I noticed there is a recall on the pirelli 19" tires. I believe this has to be a manufacturer defect. There was no trauma that caused the blowouts and they all occurred spontaneously.

4 Wheel problem of the 2006 BMW 330

Failure Date: 02/01/2017

Since 2014 I have had to replace 3 oem rims for cracking. This has caused me much inconvenience and time and money to replace not only the rims but at times the tire itself. BMW's failure to disclose the fact that the BMW rtf alloy wheels prematurely crack is especially egregious in light of the safety hazard resulting from driving with a cracked wheel, due to the loss of tire pressure that typically ensues. Moreover, the possibility of a loss in tire pressure while driving the subject vehicles would be a material fact to a reasonable consumer. A case was awarded for the z car model in the us and another for my model using this similar argument about the rims in the u. K. But BMW refuses to entertain it the BMW alloy wheels are subject to cracking under normal driving conditions, creating a safety hazard and necessitating replacement or repair of the wheel and sometimes the tire, at substantial cost to the consumer. Most recently, and most alarming, I received a "fault in passenger-restraint system affecting my airbag" when I started my car up two-weeks ago. I have done plenty of research and found that a BMW safety recall was made on the exact year and model (2006 BMW 330i), but my VIN is not covered because it did not come with the specific sport seats, it was called under. I do not understand if so many individuals in BMW forums are having this same issue without having the "sport seats" but we share the same model, make and year as the one NHTSA originally got recalled recalled, why my VIN is not covered. This is a huge liability on Bmws end and no coincidence. Should I get in an accident with a passenger, the airbag will not deploy. . Read more...

5 Wheel problem of the 2001 BMW 330

Failure Date: 05/03/2014

I was driving my BMW 2001 330i on dover chester rd crossing the intersection of morris tpke in randolph, NJ when I hit a pot hole and patch work on the road. The passenger side door and window airbags deployed cutting the power to the engine and turning on the emergency hazard lights. I immediately pulled off the road and saw that that I had a flat tire but no damage to tire rim and no damage to the body of the car. There was no impact or reason for the airbag system to deploy.

6 Wheel problem of the 2001 BMW 330

Failure Date: 03/01/2014

On Saturday 03/01/2014 at around 10:30pm I had just passed the tappan zee bridge going to connecticut so I was on the 287 west or north highway (not sure because at some point 287 changes from west to north). It was about 1-2 miles after when I hit a huge pothole that made air bag or side curtain fell off. The entire bag did not deploy, just the side curtain fell off and stayed hanging. Insurance company considered it a collision and totaled my car. I feel upset because the air bag did not open properly and yet my car was totaled because of it.

7 Wheel problem of the 2001 BMW 330

Failure Date: 02/08/2010

The contact owns a 2001 BMW 330i. The contact stated that all four tires randomly lost tire pressure and that there was an internal failure associated with the rims and tires. The contact had a repair shop replace all four tires three times. When the air pressure was low, the tpms warning light was not illuminated to indicate a failure. In addition, the fan failed to work properly and the vehicle was running hot to the point that it could overheat. The contact was not included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 02v138000 (engine and engine cooling), 01v206000 (engine and engine cooling), and 00v383000 (wheels). The manufacturer was contacted to determine if they may be able to provide a repair solution to prevent the failure. The failure mileage was not available.
