Electronic Stability Control problem #1

Every time I go from i93 mass to i90 hwy on the exit my car shuts off for 3sec and restarts the electronics. Not sure what defect or sensors are in the area that causes this malfunction. But this only happens when I take the same exact exit every single time.

Electronic Stability Control problem #2

The vehicles ftm (footwell module) isn't working. During a drive my turning signals didn't want to work. My headlights won't turn off. Windows stay put. Doors don't lock. Vehicle is stationary but can still be operated. Shops around the area notified me that they had a few vehicles have the same problem this year. There was a recall for the same probably the dates for the recalls didn't include my cars manufacturered state.

Electronic Stability Control problem #4

Car in garage inserted key car dead. Nothing worked. All electrical systems down. Unable to open trunk to check battery. Called wrecker service jump started car instantly from under hood. Mechanic checked car no problems found. Found: problem BMW recall safety uk . Exact same problem says car can shut down in motion.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

Whilst driving vehicle, battery warning light, brake warning lights came on. Vehicle lost all power steering, and was impossible to drive. After visit to dealership, appears that harmonic balancer was completely broken off, in turn, taking out various belts, including the belts that power a/c and most importantly power steering. BMW already replaced these belts twice, under warranty. Unfortunately, it appears the harmonic balancer appears to be an issue for many of the 335d vehicles, as well as for x5 savs, equipped with same engine. Complete loss of powersteering, is an unacceptable danger, in particular for a part that appears to be weak (design flaw), as documented by other BMW 335d owners.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

I was driving and all of a sudden I could not steer, and the power was gone; it was barely moving; and the light came on saying to continue to drive with diminished speed. I was close to home on an access road; and was able to limp home. It was almost impossible to turn the steering wheel. I took it to global BMW in metro atlanta; and paid close to $3000 for repairs. Approximately a month later I had a problem again. The light came on and stated engine malfunction; reduced power, proceed with caution. In doing research this morning; I discovered that there was a recall on my vehicle for this exact problem. I did not know it; but global BMW had to know it. I called BMW recall and they claim that they are waiting on the parts. This recall has been in effect since 2010; so they must have the parts. Most of the lawsuits were settled out of court with a gag order; so it appears that BMW don't respond unless there is a formal complaint; and this is the reason for this complaint with your office. I will appreciate any assistance that you may provide.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

Blower motor recall: my car was taken in by BMW the beginning of February for the recall, or so I thought. The person I talked to in the service department alerted me that there was a recall and that my car was under it. A week of them having it goes by and the tech I talk to tells me that, no my car wasnt part of it and I had other issues that they quoted me for but couldnt directly say how they concluded they were faulty, his name was carlos up at classic BMW in willoughby hills, OH. I then tell the sa I refuse to talk to that tech because he doesnt seem to have proper knowledge on the car id like to speak with someone else. The sa then confirms that my car is under recall but they cant do anything because they dont know when they will be servicing or getting parts for it. I asked if they could check it to make sure its not a safety issue for mine and he tells me that because they wont know when they will get reimbursed for the labor just to look at it, that they couldnt do anything. They let me drive my car off the lot with an ses light on, not checking my recall, my blower motor fan doesnt even work properly. Not to mention that they told me my alternator and battery were bad and couldnt run diagnostics or anything on it. I basically drove off their lot thinking they didnt do any kind of inspection on the car. They wanted me to pay 2000 just to start on what was wrong. I just got this car 1 year ago and havent had anything wrong until this month where everything seems to be going wrong safety wise. Limp mode, limit driving, drive moderately, charge malfunction, sensors lighting like a christmas tree. I never received letters about a recall. Any reply would be much appreciated. Thank you, jordan.

Electronic Stability Control problem #8

I was rear ended from a dead stop by a vehichle around 50 mph and my airbags malfunctioned. I had smoke coming from the dash but no actual air bag protected me by coming out. The seat belts are locked up and no longer work. The car then forced me to leave it in the middle of the road because it does not allow you to push it or put it into neutral in any fashion. This also forced it to be harmful to the vehicle to be put onto the tow truck because all wheels were locked up.

Electronic Stability Control problem #9

My vehicles fuel consumption has worsened. Headlights flickers. Vehicle goes into limp mode often. Vehicle feels like it's choking or running on less cylinders. I have to constantly change my clock. Misfiring still occurring even after tune up. Loss of power. Waste gate rattle.

Electronic Stability Control problem #10

When starting car engine, its take a long time to crank up and get the engine going. It also sound really weak unlike when I first bought it. Engine also show warning engine malfunction light up from time to time.

Electronic Stability Control problem #11

I was warming up the car in the morning for work, it was on for about ten minutes; as I sat down put the car in reverse I heard a noise and and my car shut down. I turned my car back on and drove for a short period before noticing that there was not any air blowing. . . . I took it the the mechanic a day later to replace the blower motor. . . . The problem was not the blower motor, the problem was a rectangle shaped cable for four prongs but only three where connected to the blower motor melted and burned out the cable. The mechanic followed the cable and cut the affected burned corroded rusted !!! part of the cable, and replaced it. . . . . If I wasn't looking he would have charged me for a blower. . . . And maybe more !!! I honestly do think BMW should fix this problem. . . Two days later my driver side window switch when out- I purchased one at orielys auto parts; the water pump also failed the same day and my car over heated that made the total over 2 grand in less than a week!!! , but my blower works perfect wtf !!! everything began that morning. . . . Because of the cable that shorted !!! OH and on top of that the turbo is making noises and I think its failing now!!!.

Electronic Stability Control problem #12

Hellow two months ago my BMW 2007 335i problems started with firing brake lights on the dash abs traction control and stability lost on the road safety problem and dangerous on the road beacuse the vehicle do not stop properly and loose all controle putting my life and my family at risk ,this problem started whith only 53205 miles ,estimate it much any help I cant provide about this safety issue thanks.

Electronic Stability Control problem #13

Complete failure of abs pump and stability control with only 29000 miles. Cost to repair this basic safety system over $2900.

Electronic Stability Control problem #14

Oil pump pressure went out on 36,000 miles after a recall was done on my car by BMW on may 2013. The recall was changing the electrical battery cables. Right after the recall was performed in my car I had this error on my computer: "engine oil pressure too low. Possible engine damages, switch off engine. Continued driving is not possible. Please contact the nearest bme center" right after the recall was made my engine start loosing power. I called and complain BMW of na and they denied my complains. I really believe this oil pump should be a recall since I got 2 recalls already on my car. First recall was the fuel pump now the oil pump. How many things will have to break in this 2010 335xi until they will recognize it as a lemon car? I believe that my oil pump was going out because of the recall that they had on the electrical battery cables.

Electronic Stability Control problem #15

Dashboard warning indicator shows that stability control is not functioning.

Electronic Stability Control problem #16

I would formally like to report a major safety concern I have regarding my new 2011 BMW 335is convertible. From a standstill without modifying any of the default configurations on the car, flooring the gas pedal, the car lurches forward (as expected) and then power completely cuts out for a second and then will continue on its way. My guess is the dsc is kicking in causing power to be reduced and then re-established. My concern is that a brand new car should be able to be floored without this happening. I recently had this exact situation occur as I was pulling out into traffic and very narrowly missed getting pummeled by another car when power was cut to my car. I have taken my car to my BMW service station and although they agree that the car should not do this?they at the same time say the car is operating normally. Their advice was to turn off dsc in a situation I want to floor it. This is my 3rd BMW 3 series convertible and I have never experienced this. Also, I do not think the driver should be forced to consider this before pulling out in traffic. And, if I were to lend my car to a family member, how would they know.

Electronic Stability Control problem #17

I purchased a new 2007 BMW 335i from BMW of honolulu in Jan 2007. 4 months later the car stalled with my wife and son in the middle of traffic. Car was towed in to BMW and remained there for over a month. BMW could not give me a status as to what was going on, nor did they try to contact me. Eventually, I was told it was the fuel pump, which I would think would be a recall item. They knew of the problem but did not inform their customers until cars were towed in to the dealership. My car is in the shop now for some other issue. It has been towed in 3 times and driven in for other repairs 7 other times in 2 years. This has cost me to miss work and most of all an inconvenience to my family. Usually there is no loaner available, so you have to wait for a shuttle which drives all over the island dropping off everyone else who is there having their 335i worked on. I have complained with BMW of north America and they finally agreed to pay a months car payment and insurance. I have recently submitted another online complaint which I have received no response. Spoke with BMW of honolulu management and they are supposedly in the process of buying back the car and trying to put me in another 335i. Don't know if I want to do that. What kills me is their reluctance to keep me informed of anything. They tell me, I will get this information to you on a certain day and I don't hear from them for days at a time. The online blogs are amazing. Their comments sound exactly like mine. I just retired from the u. S. Navy and I work with jags at a joint headquarters command in hawaii and they have directed me to seek advice from a civilian attorney. I would really like to sue BMW for all they have put me and my family through. Being that they knew of this issue and have not informed the customers I am surprised that no one has been killed yet. I think this is a safety issue and should be looked into.
