One problem related to door hinge has been reported for the 2006 BMW 3 Series. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Fuse blown and defective front door latch assembly led to door locks remaining engaged. Opened the driver door with the metal key. Doors were not able to be opened by using the inside handles. If this had happened in a crash, the occupants would have been trapped.
