Eight problems related to other fuel system have been reported for the 2007 BMW 3 Series. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Voluntary emissions recall campaign 10e-a02: n54 car is smoking excessively due to faulty fuel injectors dumping fuel into the engine in an uncontrolled manner. Fuel leaking and fumes/smell, hazard, will cause fire.
I have a 2007 BMW 328i with 120,000 miles. My car started to smell like gas just about a month ago, every time I go into my car it smells like gas it gives me a headache.
Fuel regulator filter plastic housing cracking causing fuel -gas leaking in side the car, and gas smell inside the car, safety issue, there is recall for 333i 2007 for same fuel leaking defective plastic housing but no recall for 328i 2007. The car just stalls out. Sometimes, when I stop at a traffic light and then start to go, the car hesitate to go. It stalls in traffic. I have taken it to the dealer, but they can not duplicate the problem with their diagnostic test equipment. I am afraid that I will be hit by other cars because of it. Since the dealer can't seem to figure it out, I have been researching it on-line and lots of other people have the same problem.
I have a 2007 BMW 335i with 25k miles. As I was driving getting on the highway my car has lost power engine was cut off. I was on a limb mode almost got rear ended by an 18 wheel tractor. This happen several times a week. Brought car to dealer. Dealer refuse to fix or replace under recall. They check the car out and said it was the fuel injector.
My car had all 6 fuel injectors replaced at 35,xxx miles back in Feb of 2010. Now at 69,285 miles all six have failed again. The car went into limp mode causing someone to rear end me on an on ramp. Failing injectors seems to be a common problem for this engine. These injectors have a 120,000 mile service interval but they failed for me at nearly exactly 35,000 twice. Hopefully enough people will make this an issue to have this become a recall.
My vehicle did not have a recall on the following items: hpfp, fuel injectors, wastegate. Failure- long crank, engine malfunction light, engine service soon light, clicking(rattling) coming from bottom of car(waste gate), car lose power on freeway, when rev clicking in the fuel injectors. Please help I have read many people had the same problem and many people were issue a recall. I haven't got one and am 100% positive these three items needs repair. My car is a 2007 BMW 335i and has not been issued the recall for those 3 failures. 89450 mileage please issue one. Thank you I just bought the car as of 5/15/2013 from private owner and noticed the problem till 6/12/2013 and still experiencing these problems daily.
My wife was departing a traffic circle on base here in germany. She accelerated to 35 mph and experienced stalled acceleration as she was traveling down the main road. My wife was stepping on the gas and the car appeared not to be running. She attempted to get the vehicle off to the side of the road as it rolled to a stop. She was stuck in the right hand turn lane on a two lane road and waited for security forces patrolman that stopped and helped push the car out of traffic.
