One problem related to other fuel system fuel injection system has been reported for the 2008 BMW 3 Series. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Fuel injectors constantly need replacement every 15,000 miles or so. All 6 were initially replaced on recall at 35,000 miles and then 3 more needed replacement 49,000 miles. Now the car has about 61,000 miles and needs another 3 replaced. This is obviously a problem with the design of the fuel injection system and needs to be recalled again or warrantied for an extended period of time. Safety issues are that when you try to accelerate the vehicle hesitates putting the occupants in an unsafe situation. Merging into traffic or turning onto a busy street can be really scary.
