Two problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 2002 BMW 525. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2002 BMW 525i. While in park and attempting to start the vehicle, both the driver and passenger side air bags inadvertently deployed. The contact did not sustain any injuries. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 189,000.
The passenger side air bag cover is coming on and off intermittenly. Please provide additional information dealer is aware of the problem. Ts.
