One problem related to power train driveline has been reported for the 2014 BMW 528. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tl the contact owns a 2014 BMW 528i. While driving approximately 15 mph, a loud bang was heard from the front end of the vehicle and the drive train malfunction indicator illuminated. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and the driver noticed oil flowing out of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to otto's BMW (610)-399-6800, 1275 wilmington pike, westchester, PA) where it was diagnosed that the front driveshaft detached and damaged the oil pan, pump, and transmission pan. The technician recommended that the engine, front driveshaft, and transmission pan be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
