I took the 2009 BMW 528i to bridgeport BMW to have a prior safety recall (17v-673/19v-273) repaired but, it wasn't fixed and my car caught on fire last year before I got another recall letter stating that there's no remedy for the recall campaign no. 22v-119: pcv valve heater.

The car has a problem with the cv joints, this has been a problem since purchasing the car in 10/19 - if I try to turn the steering wheel at times while driving it won't turn. The BMW certified dealer states it is both cv joints and BMW has been recalling their vehicles since 2013 for cv joints.

The car front and rear tires were of different size and I noticed when I got the car from dealer next day as the car would drift towards one side. It gave "drivetrain error" since its all wheel drive with power not being equally distributed due to different rpm on front and rear. This wasn't the case when I test drove the day before. I kept thinking its a transmission issue but it was tire that was causing it. At high speed (40-60mph) when I take off from gas the car would drift to one side and would stall. This is serious safety issue and could have caused not only passenger life but also major transmission and drivetrain breakdown. The dealer swapped the tires because with mismatched tires the car would have been non-drivable at the time I bought. This awd is very sensitive to tires tread differences. After calling dealer he is denying and saying its "as-is" and not responsible for anything.

Two of four wheels on this vehicle were found to be cracked on the inboard flange/bead seat area. These cracks were found during a routine service for tire rotation. There was no degradation in the vehicle's handling or performance. I bought this car new in Jan 2014, has 110k miles and it has never been in an accident. Tires have never been damaged in anyway - wear out replacements only.

Was driving down the street and car stopped. Dealer said I needed a new engine on a 3 yr old car. Engine covered under warranty. A few years later the drive shaft failed as I was driving. Believe it was related to removing engine and not securing all parts. How could this happen to a 5 yr old car? dealer nor BMW USA would not cover the 2800 costs.
Vehicle purchased April 2017 and tires "continental" were like new with full thread volume. Approx. 3 months later and about 5,000 miles the tires were worn to the point of needing replacement. Tires have prematurely worn out with normal driving. Tires are not very sturdy a nd that unsturdiness can be easily felt when driving under normal conditions and becomes worse when speeding. . Highway driving. . Etc tires wear prematurely and are not safe!!.
April of 2015, I purchased a 2015 BMW 528i. I started experiencing vibration and shaking while driving. The dealer performed a road test and determines there were issues with my tires. BMW would only replace two tires, leaving me with two defective tires. As of today, my tires need replacement. There is no way I should be buying new tires as the manufacturer's warranty has not expired. I have been unable to receive help for this.

I ran over a pot hole, about 4" deep, and both passenger side rims were bent so bad that they have to be replaced. The tires also had to be replaced along with the electronic power steering module. Total cost of repair was $8,229 I previously had a BMW 750il 2008. I also hit a pot hole at about 45 mph and the front rim cracked and back rim bent. Both the rims and tires had to be replaced and cost over $3000. The Bmws are just to heavy for the aluminum rims they come with. In over 40 years of driving I have never had a problem with rims until I started driving Bmws, and I have hit a number of pot holes before. Someone should make Bmws come equipped with steel rims. Their cheap rims are going to get someone killed.
BMW 528i sport wheels bend and warp easily causing vehicle to shimmy at various speeds. Wheel repair specialist and BMW dealerships have indicated that the aluminum is too thin and is prone to warp.
