Days later the system lock while driving I the high way i95 and flew of an exit ramp high up and for deep of field. Loosing not just my conscious but came to fine out I got injured on my back and no one took the responsibility on something that could have been avoid as the vehicle was brought to dealer for inspection prior to the accident but their negligence let me drive off with the vehicle.

After a recent heavy rain the vehicle electrical dashboard instruments were erratic, the rear hatch opening/closing mechanism failed, and ultimately the rear air suspension failed with the car sitting on the rear bottoming stops causing difficulty in controlling the vehicle due to the severe bouncing. Further investigation reveled standing water in the spare tire and battery/electrical areas at the rear of the car.

While driving on freeway 210 in the second lane next to fast lane, going 70-72 mph in heavy traffic the rear brakes locked up. Causing the rear tires to skid, in turn causing it to start a clockwise spin two times. Because I was in heavy traffic I quickly desided not to try to control the car in that lane causing a mayor car pile up, so I desided to try to make it over to the side of fwy. I missed three cars and a semi truck and ended up stopping before I hit the third car. I was still setting part way in the slow lane, so I tried to move the car. It would not move forward or back ward even though the engine was running and the car would go in gear. My wife and I came out with no injuries and no one hit us. Wow as I think about it now. I had it towed home and it still sets in my back yard. Is there a recall on this because of the brakes or the p/c that may have cause it?.

I bought 2006 BMW 530xi about a year ago from a used dealership, the car was running perfect a month later in a sudden a I got a trans malfunction, I took it to BMW dealership which charged me $299 to check the transmission then came and said nothing is wrong with it. Couple weeks later the same message kept coming back and the transmission would act up, for example when I am slowing down to stop at a red light , the transmission would kick back so hard that I would have to press the brake so hard to avoid hitting the person in front of me. Now I took the car again to another BMW dealership because the trans malfunction stayed and did not go away when I restart the car like it was doing and they told me , it requires transmission replacement a. BMW advertises that there cars are strong and last longer than other cars, I think they need to get sued for providing false information fir their bad cars quality. I have found hundreds of online threads wanting to sue BMW for the poor transmission on their cars. BMW need to have a recall for BMW failed transmission.
Self leveling compressor stopped working in rear of car. Suspension stayed "on" and wasn't able to shut down the leveling system even when not driving the car. Melted/burnt through wire harness because suspension leveling system stayed on. This is a known problem with the e61 BMW series. Dangerous to drive and the air compressor unit for suspension, wire harness kit, etc. All had to be replaced in order for car to be safe again. Unluckily we were on vacation and the self leveling air compressor system for suspension is quite important for driving safety.
The contact owns a 2003 BMW 530i. The contact stated that when the brakes were applied, the vehicle would shake violently. The brake pedal would have to be released then re-applied due to the failure. When the vehicle would drive over numerous bumps at one time and the brakes were applied, the shaking would occur. The failure would normally not occur if there were no bumps present in the road. It seemed as if the entire front end of the vehicle would fall apart. He took the vehicle to the dealer, but they found no failure. The issue worsened and the contact took the vehicle back to the dealer. They were able to duplicate the failure; however, the service manager who noticed the failure no longer worked at the dealer. He then took the vehicle to a certified BMW mechanic, who noticed cracks on the suspension bushings and asked for a second opinion. The other mechanic noticed the same issue. The contact paid approximately $800 to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer advised him to take the vehicle to a dealer, but offered no further assistance. The contact still has the original parts from the repair. The current mileage was approximately 67,000 and failure mileage was approximately 25,000.
