The contact owns a 2005 BMW 545i. The contact stated that the rear passenger wheel deflated while in motion. The contact discovered that the wheel was fractured in half. The wheel was replaced and both the dealer and manufacturer were made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,000 and the current mileage was 90,000.
For the past 2 years I have been having problems with multiple flat tires. The dealer kept telling me I had bad tires and I bought new tires every time. This year again I have 2 flat tires and now the dealer is telling me I have 3 cracked rims and 1 bent rim. I did not hit anything. My insurance carrier state farm told me this is a problem with BMW wheels and they are not responsible to fix. The dealer is saying they know nothing of a rim problem. But when I searched it on line I found thousands of people with the same issue. This is a huge danger to me as well as anyone else near me when these rims and tires fail.
The wheels on my 2005 BMW 545 have all cracked. The wheels had to be replaced.
