Rim's cracking I purchased this car in August of 2018 according to the odometer in had just a little more than 28000 miles other than the rims I've been very please with the car I took the car back to the place where I purchased it they access the damages and said that they could be repaired less than 2 months later after the repair one of them has cracked again the cracks was on the back side of the rim I have also discovered that on one of them there's a crack on the spoke and that's what prompted me to file this complaint I've had problems with 3 out of 4 rams that I know of. I'm seriously concerned about this problem.

BMW 650 n63 engine issues aka drivetrain malfunction (dtm) error has been a very common issue in these cars. If you do your research people with brand new cars with less than 100 miles have these issues as well. Long story short BMW, na offered to buy back my car after spending more than 5 weeks in the shop for 2nd repair. First repair was the recall , BMW offered as the "customer care package" . I purchased it cpo (certified pre-owned) w/ 26,000 miles. , I was unhappy with the offer since they deducted mileage used. Dtm occurred at approximately 29,000 miles after having the car for less than 4 months. Of course the BMW dismissed it since the dtm resolved after restarting the car. It usually occurs randomly while driving high speeds above 60 mph on the freeway the car shakes, rattles, decelerates and is unresponsive when stepping on the gas. This is a known issue in new 650i w/ n63 engines please check youtube, BMW forums and class action lawsuits filed 9/2015 agains BMW, na. The vehicle was getting all the parts replace for the entire month. The car was fine for 2 months than it occurred again and since they did not want to extend my warranty I decided to request a buy back. Other issues: excessive engine oil burning, back passenger windows not rolling up completely rear wheal cracking. Dtm still occurred after these parts were replaced in the car for the 2nd repair: -catalytic convertor (since they discovered both catalytic converters where coming apart), all 8 spark plugs , 32 valve guide seals. I hope this was of use for someone who feels helpless and have to settle whatever BMW, na is offering. Still entertaining the thought of filing a separate claim from the "buy back" offered by BMW. This is a huge safety issue which may lead to a fatality due sudden deceleration when driving in high speeds.

The run flat tire sidewall failed after driving over a very small pot hole. This is the ninth (9th) tire to be replaced in less than 14 months. 8 of the 9 were goodyear eagle LS-2. BMW refused to take responsibility for this defective car. They blamed the goodyear tire. I changed the entire set of tires to bridgestone driveguard and a little over 600 miles later another tire failed. Two of the failures happened at highway speeds and a crash was luckily averted. This is an unsafe car specified from the factory with these run flat tires. Searching the internet this is a rampant problem with BMW and run flat tires. Please investigate! BMW is most interested in selling a very expensive insurance policy at time of purchase. The dealer tells you that you will suffer failures. They know there is a major safety problem and choose not to address it to increase their profits.

Bought this car new on 6/10/14 in illinois. At the time of purchase the dealer tried to sell me 10k worth of additional warranties. I asked which one(s) I really needed and they said you need the tire warranty. The car has 12k miles on it. Have had three separate incidents of broken tires. Two in summer of 2014 and one in April of 2015. All three took place on interstate highways caused by impacting holes in the pavement. I have contacted BMW national and they claim it is due to bad goodyear tires. Oddly enough they insist on replacing them with the same tire. They are charging about $450/tire and I don't believe that a tire of that quality can be that defective. Between the dealer telling me that you really need the tire warranty, another dealer and tow truck driver telling me that these cars are being brought in constantly for blown tires I don't think it is the tires. I think it is defective design on the part of BMW. The 19" wheels are so big that they require a 40 series tire which mean there is just too little sidewall to take everyday interstate stress. Keep in mind all happened during fair weather driving, not winter. BMW thought it would be really cool to put oem 19" wheels on the car without considering whether these wheels, requiring extremely low profile 40 series tires, on a high performance car can handle common interstate road issues without causing ply separations or completely blowing out. These blowouts are really dangerous at highway speeds. I believe BMW should recall these vehicles and replace the tires and wheels with ones that can handle common interstate road conditions. Currently they take no responsibility for what is obviously their design problem. By blaming the tire manufacturer they get completely off the hook and the NHTSA (safercar) needs to do an investigation and require a recall to fix the problem.

Bought car in 03-13-2013 2 wks after purchase car fished tail to the right spoke to mc kenna sales rep about issue, 6-21-13 at 35,254 bought new rear tires, since tires with car were gone (inner wear), cars never stops veering to right, problem worsens with time very difficult to control at legal speeds. Even worse on raining day and small pumps on road, even the small street reflectors. Had to buy new tires are again at 39,487 /06-21-2013/ miles this time went straight to dealer spoke Porsche gen. Manager. And assist. Manager (primo) we voiced our concerns with the car. Stated that the car never stops veering to the right with time issue worsens as tires wear out. We did all the necessary with mc kenna BMW dealer paid 2104. 87 for tires and a serious of work that they said we did not do back in 6-21-13. I want to point out the tires purchased in 6-21-. 13 last longer then their spec tires purchased in 11-25-13. Car veering to the right and tires gone again 04-11-14. Drove to mc kenna to speak to manager. We did speak to primo. Voiced are concerns again about how difficult it is to control the car. We showed primo the tires gone again both the right and left. Mentioned that on our way to mc kenna dealer in norwalk right tire blew out existing the firestone exit. Extreme wires showing in the inner tire. Pointed out the left rear is also starting to go. Primo agreed that this is a serious and the car is not safe to drive in this condition. We advised primo that we did all that was recommended by the BMW staff. And yet the issue has worsen: tires gone, car veers to the right with the slightest pump, more so on rainy days. My husband and I are scare to now drive this vehicle. We deem it unsafe to our family and anyone else on the road. I have done research and this is a very common problem with BMW cars. We ask for your help.

Bought car from dealer w/18k miles, test drove and noticed noise/vibration under feet, steering wheel shakes, (said it was the "sport package, rain, tires". ) they had excuse for everything. This is the third car I have owned liked this and no issues of this kind. Finally took to another dealer, said it was the rims bent, tires damaged. Returned to 1st dealer for repairs to rims/new tires. The noise sounds like going over a "rocky road" but this is constant & happens on all road surfaces. The vibrations can be felt under the passenger and now the driver side floor boards. The steering wheel shakes. The car has had alignments. The dealer said they repaired the bent rims, replaced the tires. Since then, I have myself replaced the rims, 2 sets of tires, alignment, multiple balancing. I have been at the dealer repeatedly requesting a resolution. The response is " unable to duplicate customer complaint". This is driving me crazy. The car now has 75k miles. Surely, there is a problem. I have asked them to pull the wheel off and check the control arms, rack & pinion, bushings, something is making this car shake and go through tires. I cannot afford $1800 every 6 months in tires. Not to mention I have been dealing with the shaking and vibration since I bought the car. I have replaced the rims and tires. What else can I do? wait until I am in a ditch? the original tires were from germany, then replaced with continental, I am on second set of bridgestone potenzas run flat 19 inch 245/40/19 on front, 275/30/19 on back. I still have the original BMW rims that were on the car, I replaced with 19 inch m5 rims. The steering malfunction light has come on in past but no code.
