One problem related to brake warning switch has been reported for the 1996 BMW 740. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brake warning light switch failed, allowing the switch to remain in the brake light off position or in the brake light on position. Also, when turning vehicle off, the warning brake light comes on.
