Car was recall for door latches since July 2017 til now I did not hear from them every time I call informing me we did not receive the parts yet.
Transmission was forced to go into park when coming to a stop. Also killed battery. Loss of power and throttle power.
I have noticed other BMW of same year different vins are having issues with door on driver side opening when driving and will not close, I enter my VIN and it said no recalls but I am having same issues everyone else is having with their BMW, I was driving down road going around curve and my driver door came open, I almost felt out, tried to close door back but door will not close, had to drive to my job holding door with one hand to keep from falling out, called BMW recall team and they said its nothing they can do for me but it is a know factor.
Transmission fault. Drive moderately. Car won't move forward when shifted to drive. Gear won't engage.
Passenger door will not latch. The passenger door opened on the highway and my kid almost flew out of the car. The door will not shut close & it remains open. There is a defect with the latching mechanism.
Driver side door lock actual operating inconsistant it will not go all the way down or up when unlocking eveytime. When button is push to lock it click twice and not go all the way down or up as stted before. I get a click click and lock doesnt move much either way. This is a safety hazzerd that I need to deal with immmediately so im writting to ask you has there been a recall concerning this problem as I have read this is a common problem with other BMW owners as well. This is a car my wife drives as well as my daughter and I would hate to think what might happen if there was a accident.
Today while exiting the highway my drivers doors unlocked and opened by itself. I was able to close the door. Once I pulled away from the traffic light it opened again. It really scared me. I've done research and realized that this has been an ongoing issue. Please do a recall before some gets hurt.
This vehicle has become a money eating one. The problem started with a jolt. The car would make a jumping forward movement similar to been hit from the back. I took to several mechanics including BMW dealer and made server repairs base on recommendations but the problem continues. Eventually, the car will cut off and shifts from drive to neutral while driving. I took to BMW dealer several times but the problems was not identified so no solution was possible. At one point the entire system died and I was told by a mechanic that I needed a new alternator and battery - this did not stop the problem. Eventually, I was told by the BMW dealer that I needed a new transmission. I took to local transmission person who installed a rebuilt transmission. The car was ok for a few days then another problem occurs. When in parking position the level does not go to p it shifts to n - again! after I spent so much money. I was told by the mechanic that the car is actually in park but he has no idea why the computer is not doing the right thing. I am going crazy with this situation and wish BMW would do something because their cars are extremely expensive but instead of getting the value I ended up getting a money eating vehicle.
Two continuous issues: 1. When depressing the gas pedal the vehicle would hesitate, rpm's would shoot up, and would take 3-10 seconds to regain power and for car to accelerate. I know this doesn't make sense but this happens regularly when car sits in the hot sun during the day. Does not happen during cooler days. 2. When coming to a stop sign the vehicle makes a hard jerk and feels like someone slamming into the back of the car - hard. The car then jerks into gear. The dsc indicator light then flashes several times until I resume normal speed and then the light goes out. I'm very surprised this hasn't caused an accident or injury to my neck, it's that hard of a jerk. I've had the car to the local dealership and they can't find anything wrong. It's to the point where I don't want to drive my BMW for any unnecessary errands and thought I would upgrade to a newer 750li in the near future but not sure if I want to purchase this model again. BMW, please step up and fix this issue - there are too many complaints out there for this to continue to be ignored.
Comfort access softclose door stopped working . Took to fresno BMW of fresno CA they charged me $3400. 00 to fix this problem . And had my car for over 90 days total. There was a recall oct 17 2012 for this ther should be no charge. I like my mony back!.
** VIN should have been included in NHTSA recall #12v504000. I have the exact model, year, options, and date of manufacture as the vins that were included. A mistake has been made. Nhtsa, please help!!*** *just like all vehicles included in NHTSA recall #12v504000, my 2006 BMW 750li is equipped with "comfort access" and "soft close automatic. " *just like the cars that led to NHTSA recall #12v504000, my (driver's) door appears to be closed. Then, unexpectedly, the door opens while the car is in movement! this is a serious safety issue. *I was denied the recall fix today at the dealer. *I called BMW customer care, and they told me that my VIN was not included in the recall batch. . . But -- the troubling part -- they could not explain why. *there is no reasonable explanation why my VIN was omitted from this recall. A mistake was made NHTSA recall #12v504000 that requires urgent attention and correction: some vins were omitted from the recall that should have been included. *NHTSA, I'm counting on you. Please help!.
BMW 2006 750li in 2013 the doors open up after driving to wife job to drop her off, after doing so left the parking lot made a left u-turn, front passenger door open up unexpected! second time my mother was in the rear passenger side lucky all had the seat belts on! I took the car to BMW dealership in bayside they told me its wasn't the software it was the hardware in the door, and that this recall wasn't for my problem. Cost $1345. 00 now in 2015 they blame it on the door handle malfunction, which this part is not in the recall, some say latches, locks, linkages are covered but not door handle so I had to pay again for the second time this was $1645. 00 for the rear door! funny have two more doors to go! so BMW decided to come up a part that is not named in the recall so the customer will have to pay for it! my opinion! the door don't smell of new paint! just saying! if the door open up while in motion with the locks activated how is not coved by this recall when it clearly says door latches, lock, linkages,.
Vehicle drive moderate warning is display but reading some of the complaints on this sight I have encounter some similar problems with the shifting of the transmission but I took my car to BMW of columbus GA. And they found nothing wrong. The transmission slams very hard and sounds like a loud a crash.
On said date I was sitting idle while talking on my cell phone. The car was in park. It was cold in car so I went to turn the heat up and when I did the vehicle went into neutral and started to roll. I then stopped the car and turned it off. I then restarted the car and went to turn the heat on once again and the vehicle once again went into neutral. I then called BMW and advised them of what happened. The vehicle was already scheduled for a routine service the following week. On 2/22/13 I was parked in a parking lot and was exiting the car to step out for just a moment when the vehicle began to roll. I looked and the vehicle was in neutral. I had to turn vehicle off to get it into park.
