Failure Date: 11/15/2013

Continuation of affected parts: latches/locks/linkages and parking brake, your site states recalls for 2006 BMW 750i, but BMW said there is no recalls for my VIN. I have been having multiple safety issues with this vehicle. I have been having problems with the latches/locks on all four doors, they repeatedly go lock and unlock. I was driving down the street with my 3 year old grandchild and his door came open. The car also accelerates and shuts down almost like is going to stop. Parking brake light will not go off and it makes a grinding noise.

37 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2013

I have the 06 750 li. It has 65,000 miles on it, when I put it in drive it will kick out of drive to neutral or when I put in park it will kick out of park to neutral, then a message will come up saying transmission fault, then I will turn the car off and I will restart the car. This will work at times. This happens at least twice a week. Also, if in park and I turn on the air conditioning the car will shift out of park to neutral. My guess is the small rise in rpms, very dangerous the first time this happened. The car was and is knocking when taking off from stop. Going from stop to 1st or slowing from 2nd to stop is harsh and feels like being rear ended.

42 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 04/03/2013

We were backing out of a parking space and the vehicle just went in gear on its own. I also couldn't get the car to go in gear. Car still does not run right. Transmission isn't right, when vehicle is started it just kicks back in neutral and will not go in drive or reverse. Dealer can't seem to fix nor can they tell me anything that they can do to fix other that buying new transmission. I have only had the car for 6 months and all service work was done at BMW of sarasota. I have only put 4,050 miles on vehicle since November and I have not had the vehicle since April because they can't seem to fix car.

43 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2013

I had my car to the hunterdon BMW dealership 8 times for my car refusing to leave neutral. Their factory BMW engineers checked the car twice and found no problems, the mechanics could never find the problem. They just kept reprogramming the computers till it ran. I finally gave up since BMW refused to help me. I traded the car in on 4/1/13 because I feared it would stop running again, and bought a Cadillac. The problem with this is I received peanuts for my car because of it history, no dealers wanted it, they knew it was a lemon. So BMW sold me a lemon and I ended up with a worthless car, and a year later they admit it was a problem. They knew all along by the hundreds of complaints that they had a problem, and ignored it. There were hundreds of people on web pages complaining, and all of them were ignored by BMW.

48 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2013

The vehicle jerks when going from stop to drive. At times it is so severe that I think the car has been hit from behind. Also moves very slowly when proceeding from stop to drive. This problem is less noticeable while on the highway going at fixed speed. The problem is during traffic drive. Have been struggling with this issue for approximately three years. Dealer unable to replicate problem; however as soon as I drive car, it immediately kicks. Getting worse with time. Another problem is the door latches. All my door latches are faulty. The rear passenger cannot be opened from inside and if opened from outside, you run the risk of it not locking at all. All doors have similar issues.

After slowly making a turn and applying the accelerator the car jerked and made a loud sound I thought I had been hit from behind nothing else happened . It still does this at least once or twice a month an independent mechanic don't seem to be to concerned but I am. The car also revs up very fast sometimes without me trying to when I accelerate I have to apply breaks to stop it very scarry.

53 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 08/15/2012

From 2011-present, my BMW 750 li has been serviced 3-4 times for transmission problems. While BMW states that they fixed the problem, it continues to occur. On one occasion, after the vehicle was just picked following a transmission service, I had to call BMW roadside assistance to pick up approximately 25 minutes later to pick up the car again. While on my way home from BMW, I stopped at a local store and attempted to park. After backing up, then shifting into drive (in an attempt to straighten my car in the parking space) my transmission locked again. I did even make it home from the dealership before the car needed to be serviced again. Today, is August 23, 2012, and my car is again at BMW being serviced for the same transmission issue. This car is so unreliable that I don't drive it more than an hour from home nor can I depend on it being my only source of transportation. My car is at 64,446 miles and it is currently under warranty. After talking to the service technician yesterday, he stated that he is not sure why the problem continues to occur, other than finding a battery fault. I find it hard to believe that BMW would have such difficulty repairing their own vehicles. The poor performance of this vehicle and unsatisfactory work is unacceptable.

54 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/03/2012

While driving out of town for the 4th, my transmission default light came on, I have only driven this car from the dealership, less than two weeks, at $32,000 this is unacceptable. Thank you for you help in advance.

56 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 08/12/2009

When pushing on the gas, the vehicle would stall, rpm's would shoot up, and would take 3-10 seconds to re-gain any power before the vehicle would begin to accelrate. Also once coming up to a stoplight or stop sign, the vehicle would feel as if someone had slammed into the back of me possibly jerking into gear. Spent countless times at the dealership with them giving me the run around, replacing random parts before replacing the entire transmission and still the vehicle continues to have issues.

57 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 01/26/2006

When I first bought the car I had problems with the air conditioner, since then my car has been in the shop almost monthly for problems with the engine and the transmission and steering. BMW writes on the yellow sheet that they have you sign with what you tell them but when you go back the invoice that you are given is different that what you signed for. I recently learned that when I noticed that the invoice does not have the information that was written when I was in front of the service advisor. Which means that when you are asking for copies of you repair order the information is different than your original complaint.
