Two problems related to power train have been reported for the 2013 BMW 750. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2019

Tl- the contact owns a 2013 BMW 750i. The contact stated that while driving at a normal rate of speed, the drive train malfunction warning light illuminated on the vehicle. When the contact pulled the vehicle over, he noticed smoke coming from the vehicle's tail pipe. As the contact attempted to restart the vehicle, the vehicle misfired, and upon start, would not operate at full capacity. The contact stated that the vehicle would stall and emitted an excessive amount of smoke from the exhaust pipe. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where he was informed that this was a widespread issue and to contact BMW for more assistance. The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure and the vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 48,000. Jo.

2 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 10/12/2012

Arrived at a valet and thought the car was in park. It rolled forward and almost pinned a person in between 2 cars. On this car you must tap a tiny button to select park. There is no way to physically verify the position of the gear selector to see if it is in park, you must read on a screen in the instrument panel. Very easy to accidentally leave in drive. The same night a valet returned the car and accidentally put the car into reverse and got out. (naturally, they had pushed the selector all the way forward, which is the universal position for park except BMW).
