If the problem recurs, have it checked by your service center. ” when I took the vehicle to my local dealership, BMW of gwinnett place, the service advisor mentioned he had never seen this warning before. After diagnosing the vehicle, he informed me that the warning was related to the passenger seatbelt. He quoted me $1934. 93 for parts and labor to replace the seatbelt. When I inquired about any recalls for this issue, he said there were none and that I would have to pay out of pocket. I expressed my concern that this is a major safety issue and that my family’s lives are in danger if they are sitting in the passenger seat. He reiterated that there was nothing more he could do. I contacted BMW to report the issue and seek a remedy. The representative stated that since my vehicle is out of warranty, the responsibility is mine. I strongly believe BMW should issue a recall for this issue and take full responsibility to resolve and fix the seatbelt problem on this vehicle. This is a significant safety concern, and consumers’ lives are at great risk due to this seatbelt problem on my 2016 BMW 750i.
