Electronic Stability Control problem #2

Abs is completely messed up car slides at every turn/move! if brakes are pressed a little to fast brakes block and doesn't stop the car! which caused me to crash into another car!.

Electronic Stability Control problem #3

It keeps saying the oil is too low even after driving for only one week. This is a constant issue.

Electronic Stability Control problem #4

On 2 seperate occasions, once on a busy street and once on the freeway, the vehicle completely shut down during driving with and abrupt speed change as it slams into park or locks all wheels up with no control of the steering or any part of the vehicle. All electronics were not working and airbag lights were flashing as the vehicle broke down and shut off on the freeway with an 88 year old woman the BMW dealership sold this dangerous lemon of a car to. The 1st time this happened, the vehicle needed repairs that totaled over $21,000 , more than the value of the car. BMW is aware this vehicle has recalls & problems. These vehicles should not be repaired and put back on the road. Both incidents of the car shutting down while driving could have easily killed somebody. The dealership has record of incidents.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

There was a recall a couple years ago regarding the parking brake actuator on my vehicle. The dealership in jacksonville, florida states they repaired it. However, I am still having the same issue now and the parking brake actuator sensor light is flashing on my dashboard. According to the description of what can happen if this is faulty and happen, I am scared for my life to drive the car.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

The doors are lock and the can not open all the others door what happen if my children are inside the car with the hit and couldn't open the door, the key full battery but couldn't open the car, the central lock inside not working.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

Power supply malfunction light comes on while car is driving on highway is the most dangerous, also occurs while driving in the city. Car is restarted light goes away. Can cause serious harm or even death while driving, it is a major issue that needs to be addressed. Car gives a timer, and then shuts down all major functions of the vehicle. Cost to replace hybrid battery causing issue is monopolized at 10,000 us dollars.

Electronic Stability Control problem #8

While driving the car just cuts off, very scary unsafe, when you get somewhere, you stuck it wont start back up parking brake default, so you stuck for hours ,then it starts again, , several tows to the point of weekly then daily- my only transportation bad choice buying a BMW- in shop at dealership but they dint fix or find problems this is aweful but the car note is paid and I have a lemon!!! just a nightmare.

Electronic Stability Control problem #9

Electronic Stability Control problem #10

Restraint passenger fault system indicator all of a sudden is on and speakers xrackling and navigation flickering. Also drive control indicator comes on periodically but will go back out for months then just come on. Also transmission seem slow all of a sudden not gradual when these items started taking affect all this while movinf the drive control light scared the heck out of me on the interstate when I first saw it.

Electronic Stability Control problem #11

During my car driving on the high way in georgia (December 2015), the car had a hybrid system malfunctioned. This caused all of the warranting lights to come on in the dash and the hybrid battery stop charging. All of the electrical components are powered by the hybrid battery. When the battery was depleted, all of the electronics in the car stop working as I was driving, to my mothers house. The dash would not show my speed (nothing showed on the dashboard), my steering wheel was harder to turn, and there were no lights at all in the car. This is a safety concern, considering I had my wife and 2-year old child in the vehicle at the time. All of the electronics in the car completely stop working, except for the headlights, engine running, and wiper blades stayed on. During this situation, the vehicle was unsafe to drive, because there was no abs, stability control, power steering, air bag, or any other electronic safety device. I called BMW of north America and was told that there is no warranty for the hybrid battery after the manufacturer warranty period (4 years), and there are no aftermarket warranty products that will cover the battery. The hybrid battery is $10,000. The BMW tech said that the battery was week and should be replaced. This should be a recall item (all of the manufacturers of hybrid vehicles cover their hybrid batteries for a period 6 - 8 years). This item not only affects the safety of the vehicle passengers, but also the ability for the vehicle to be used legally in the united states.

Electronic Stability Control problem #12

While driving on the highway at a speed of about 65 mph my car suddenly lost power. A "drive train malfunction" warning appeared on the dash indicating that I had reduced power. My speed was quickly reduced and I had to cruise to the right lane. Unfortunately the portion of the NJ garden state parkway that I was on did not have a shoulder. It just so happened that the guard rail was broken and I was able to coast off the road and place the car between the opening between the broken guard rails. I was not injured or involved in an accident, largely due to the fact that there was a break in the guard rail. After towing the car to the dealer, I was told that there is an "equipment update/customer convience upgrade" for the car that would replace the failed fuel injectors free of charge. I feel that this clearly is a safety issue that is being disguised as an equipment upgrade. Losing power while driving on the highway is absolutely dangerous. BMW should not wait until the injectors fail to correct the situation. Or wait until there are a couple of fatalities to call this what it is . . A safety hazard!! as I checked online forums, many BMW owners are experiencing this issue. BMW is also telling me that the throttle assembley and sensors need to be replaced at my cost due to the fact that this could also cause a shut down/and or reduction of power to the vehicle while driving.

Electronic Stability Control problem #13

Airbags never popped open, door handle opened and is still not shutting correctly. Since my car was paid in full, I did not carry full coverage only liability so I did not file a claim. I paid the damages out of my own pocket and just this week I've paid the last $1200. 00 of the part ordered for last of repairs. In total ive paid a little over 15,000 out of my own money.

Electronic Stability Control problem #14

Crank case vent valve failure caused damage to engine. Low brake pedal.
