The middle console on the car has aluminum trim, the trim starts peeling off right at the button where you can open the console and I just hurt my finger as it’s very sharp and cuts the skin right away I will provide also pictures of the problem .

1) the electrical section of the dashboard for speed, checking gas levels etc. Is no longer visible. It is available for inspection! 2) for the obvious reason: unable to determine all safety measures such as speed, driving safety such as gas level, warning signals etc. ! 3) the problem was the result of numerous visits to the dealership regarding the rain leaking into the car. Which they said they were unable to find a leak or leaks. Advised the of possible recall car latch issues where the water leaks into the car via trunk etc. They finally realized their error. But failed to repair. Said it was a recall issue. 4) as mentioned. . . Has been inspected numerous times by the dealership in willoughby, OH! 5) of course there were warning signs that there was a problem or would eventually be a problem when water starts getting into your car: when it shouldn't (doors closed, windows up sunroof closed etc. However, as I said previously, the dealership inspected the car enough times to find what the problem was and avoid the damage cause: (unless it is/was an issue that warrant a recall of the car's sealing, sunroof, latch etc. That was deffective!!! note: the dealership indicated that the water was getting in to the car, but couldn't stop it from getting in didn't have the knowledge to fix? wouldn't that be a recall matter? my safety & others is at stake if you don't take responsibility of a defect in this BMW.

My soft closing door is not closing correctly. The door is being left open. Which you could eject from car.

On 4/10/2021 around 10:45 am I was on east indepndance blvd at a red light. As I proceeded to drive my front panoramic sunroof blew out. As a retired navy vet I thought I was getting shot at and slowed the car down maintain course and realized the air russhing from my sunroof. On this day I already had a scheduled maintaince at the BMW dealsership. I proceeded to pull in and the notice I was really frantically alert showed them the sunroof and explained. They can't figure out how that occured. The vehicle is a 2017 BMW xi drive with only 22000 miles roughly and I only had the vehicle since August 2020. I'm hoping bmy pays for this and not hit my insurance. I could of caused some serious injuries if I wasn't focused due to my military training. I failed to take pictures of the glass. The vehicle is currently at 6550 e independence blvd charlotte n. C hendrick BMW.

Took in for repair for water getting into car several times to dealer. Told they could not find a problem or where any water was getting into car. The last time I took it in, told that they cleaned water lines etc. So, should be ok. However, after driving it home & once a good rain came, it got wet inside the cabin/car again! they had the car, worked on it etc. However, when it was picked up again, told that the dash screen was damaged. But rather than blame it on the water getting into the car etc. ; they blamed it on something else which cost an unbelievable price to repair. Or they failed to admit their unbelievable car care and customer care/service. Subsequently, the lost of being able to see the car dash, screen etc. : all of the systems information: gas level, speed, lights, navigation etc. Has been lost.

I purchased the 2010 BMW 750 li in oct 2017. In April 2018, I began to have issues and messages constantly popped up concerning engine temp drive moderately and drivetrain malfunction. I kept the car's maintenance up, however, even a week after an oil & filter change, I'd get the low oil warnings & needed to add oil constantly. Oil was leaking bad. The car would get up to 35-40 mph (between 1 & 2 rpm) & start shaking or wouldn't shift over. I'd have to press accelerator down to accelerate to atleast 70 mph so the shaking & vibration could stop. The car was taken to a BMW repair shop in 08/28/2018. Ignition coils, spark plugs, oil change, filters, all were replaced. Brake fluid was flushed as well. The oil issue never stopped. After months of adding oil every few days, the car was taken back to the BMW shop (April 2019). At that point, I was told to take to the BMW repair shop dealership, where they diagnosed & they performed the n63 engine recall repairs in may 2019. The smoking subsided, but in July 2019, the car was back in BMW's repair shop because it had now gotten the same readings but it had also begun to smoke badly, upon starting, stopping at traffic lights or stop signs. Along with engine temp lights, and drivetrain malfunction. The car was repaired again. Engine temp light came on every day as soon as I crunk the car. The service manager told me it would go off in July 2019, after the repairs. December 2019, engine temp light is still on. Again, several lights are now on. Drivetrain malfunction also and the car is not shifting properly, as before. It's vibrating at 35 mph. Because it's the holidays, the BMW dealership and service department are closed. First thing tomorrow, I will be back there. I have to work and afraid that the car will eventually give out on me. It's all I have. I'm basically working to fix the car!.

The driver side door would not fully latch/close after several attempts, which prevented me form being able to drive the car. Several attempts were made by viewing door latch to make sure there was no obstruction and the latch was positioned correctly. The inside door handle also seemed to be working fine. After waiting on a tow truck to arrive the driver manipulated the same pieces I did, one exception being, he let the window down, and then pushed door close and it latched. I am now scared to drive it since I don't know if it will happen again. I drove it to baron BMW (shawnee mission, kansas) and was told there was noting they could do unless it happened again/stopped working at which point I would need to have it towed. I later learned that a friend (similar car, just a year or two older) had the same issue with her right side passenger door. I checked the recall and don't see that my car has any open recalls. Car shuts off while driving and changes gears from drive to neutral on its own. Hard time restarting engine after incidents. Car does not start engine but will power all electronic devices inside and outside of the car. Car suddenly shut off while turning into a busy street leaving me in the middle of incoming traffic, placing my family in very dangerous situation.

My drive train indicator comes on while I am driving for a long period of time or if I hit the gas too fast it would cause it to come on.

Rough idle,stalls at stops, shaking. Every time vehicle is taken into BMW of ontario for one problem it comes back with a different issue, I believe BMW of ontario is purposely damaging items on my vehicle that isn't covered under warranty so I'll pay them out of pocket.

The issue is with both front doors intermittently not opening with the double door pull when stopped and parked after the auto locking speed engaged the door locks. I am concerned about this safety issue in the front seat passengers being trapped inside the car in an emergency. . Read more...

Tl-the contact owns a 2007 seven series BMW. The contact more than one failure with their vehicle. The air bag light illuminates and the passenger seat belt partision is loose and does not function properly. The contact never recieved any mail for the air bag. The air bag light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to autobahn car service (301) 881-1310 11848 coakley circle rockville, MD 20852 where nothing was done. The manufacturer was informed and they did nothing for them. On January 10th 2018, my BMW (2012, 750i), spontaneously combusted in our garage, under my son's bedrooms, after not being on for 14. 5 hours.

Tl-contact owns a 2006 BMW IL . . . . Contact stated he contacted BMW north America three different times. . . Drivers side door latch failed while driving. . . Contact paid to get door latch fixed . . . BMW stated they would reimburse contact for repairs that were paid for previously. No remedy as of yet for door latch. Contact stated he had contacted ceo of BMW north America that refused contact a reimbursement until remedy is found. Car was recall for door latches since July 2017 til now I did not hear from them every time I call informing me we did not receive the parts yet.

It has been since may 2017 that BMW issued a recall without any remedy as of 12/2017. I feel I am entitled to a buy-back as they still have not remedied this issue.

Transmission was forced to go into park when coming to a stop. Also killed battery. Loss of power and throttle power.

My car mysteriously caught fire while parked. It was left for a few days at my place of business and there are witnesses that saw no one set it on fire. Arson was suspected until the reports of this happening all over the world came to light.

Driver and passenger door actuators and latches not working to the point of locking the driver or passenger in where they can not exit the vechicle during an vechicle or personal emergency . On top of this BMW is charging customers 2500 to repair this potential life or death issue.

I have noticed other BMW of same year different vins are having issues with door on driver side opening when driving and will not close, I enter my VIN and it said no recalls but I am having same issues everyone else is having with their BMW, I was driving down road going around curve and my driver door came open, I almost felt out, tried to close door back but door will not close, had to drive to my job holding door with one hand to keep from falling out, called BMW recall team and they said its nothing they can do for me but it is a know factor.

A SUV traveling at 20 miles per hr hits passenger side of a 750 li traveling crossing a 2 way intersection spins the cars in a circle with skid marks on the highway damage the passenger side of the door and the lower panel of car and only there bumper was loose and it was driveable how is that a SUV traveling at such slow speed as I been told can do such do as much damages to a 750 li and the car is totaled.

Transmission fault. Drive moderately. Car won't move forward when shifted to drive. Gear won't engage.

The transmission is not going into parking after the car is turn off the cars have electronic transmission shifters that are designed to automatically shift into park if the driver presses the button to turn off the engine. The agency says one driver complained to regulators about the problem, and the company has received additional complaints. No crashes or injuries have been reported. Regulators say they haven't found the cause of the problem.

The engine malfunctioned in my car while driving and is a safety hazard to myself and others on public roads with multiple engine parts identified by the manufacturer to be defective. The car sporadically stops operating with full power and there have been several reports of instant engine failure while driving. BMW issued what they have called the n63 customer care package on Dec. 29, 2014 to address failures on the engine regardless of warranty and mileage, but have denied this service for my vehicle. The defective engine is in the following vehicles: f01 and f02 (7 series sedan)¿ produced from 3/2009 to 6/2012 f04 (active hybrid 7)¿ produced from 4/2010 to 6/2012 f07 (gran turismo)¿ produced from 9/2009 to 6/2012 f10 (5 series sedan)¿ produced from 3/2010 to 7/2013 f12 (6 series convertible)¿ produced from 3/2011 to 7/2012 f13 (6 series coupe)¿ produced from 7/2011 to 7/2012 e70 (x5)¿ produced from 3/2010 to 6/2013 e71 (x6)¿ produced from 7/2008 to 6/2014 e72 (activehybrid x6)¿ produced from 9/2009 to 9/2011 I purchased the vehicle with 40,429 miles and michigan rebuilt salvage title in may of 2016 after it was in an accident in August 2015. The position of BMW is that they will not perform the service on the vehicle now as it was reported as an insurance loss, but likely thousands of these vehicles operate on public roads legally with rebuilt titles. I feel the condition is a true safety risk and should be handled under a recall to require proper correction and ensure public safety rather than a discretionary service from BMW to protect their reputation and expenses. Attached is the michigan rebuilt title and document for re-certification showing the repairs did not include the motor. Also included is the correspondence with BMW and a photos of the vehicle after repair.

Passenger door will not latch. The passenger door opened on the highway and my kid almost flew out of the car. The door will not shut close & it remains open. There is a defect with the latching mechanism.

The driver side door will not close shut. This starting occurring intermittently in early may 2016 and took several attempts of lifting the door handle several times before the soft lock would take. Today 22 may 2016, the door failed to close and lock after multiple attempts and extensively exercising the door handles from both inside and outside the vehicle. Fortunately the car was not in motion during the many times the problem occurred, but it should be obvious that the vehicle cannot be driven safely if the door does not close. In reading up and educating myself on this defect, this appears to have been a known issue in the previous year of this same model but for whatever reason, the recall was not extend to the 2008. I love the BMW 7 series particularly this 750, but I will have to end my 12 year marriage of owning BMW¿s if they choose not to remedy this defect in the 2008.

Door not latching correctly. It unexpectedly opened while driving and would not close back. I had to secure it with a bungee cord to continue home.

Driver side door lock actual operating inconsistant it will not go all the way down or up when unlocking eveytime. When button is push to lock it click twice and not go all the way down or up as stted before. I get a click click and lock doesnt move much either way. This is a safety hazzerd that I need to deal with immmediately so im writting to ask you has there been a recall concerning this problem as I have read this is a common problem with other BMW owners as well. This is a car my wife drives as well as my daughter and I would hate to think what might happen if there was a accident.

Today while exiting the highway my drivers doors unlocked and opened by itself. I was able to close the door. Once I pulled away from the traffic light it opened again. It really scared me. I've done research and realized that this has been an ongoing issue. Please do a recall before some gets hurt.

This vehicle has become a money eating one. The problem started with a jolt. The car would make a jumping forward movement similar to been hit from the back. I took to several mechanics including BMW dealer and made server repairs base on recommendations but the problem continues. Eventually, the car will cut off and shifts from drive to neutral while driving. I took to BMW dealer several times but the problems was not identified so no solution was possible. At one point the entire system died and I was told by a mechanic that I needed a new alternator and battery - this did not stop the problem. Eventually, I was told by the BMW dealer that I needed a new transmission. I took to local transmission person who installed a rebuilt transmission. The car was ok for a few days then another problem occurs. When in parking position the level does not go to p it shifts to n - again! after I spent so much money. I was told by the mechanic that the car is actually in park but he has no idea why the computer is not doing the right thing. I am going crazy with this situation and wish BMW would do something because their cars are extremely expensive but instead of getting the value I ended up getting a money eating vehicle.
