Steering Problems of BMW 750

On [xxx], while driving on a busy boulevard in wilmington, delaware, my 2020 BMW 750i suddenly lost all power (engine and electrical) without any warning. The vehicle completely shut down in traffic, creating an extremely dangerous situation. There were no warning lights or messages before the failure. I called BMW roadside assistance for help but was informed that because my warranty had just expired, they canceled the tow truck that was already en route and turned it away. This left me stranded in a live traffic lane until I could arrange my own tow service from geico. I called wilmington police for assistance and eventually had to run a couple of blocks to flag down a police vehicle that arrived and dropped several flares behind my vehicle. The vehicle was later inspected at union park BMW (wilmington, DE), where the technician stated that the failure was due to a defective cell in the main battery. This experience has made me very nervous to drive the car again, as a total loss of power without warning could lead to a collision or injury. I believe this represents a serious safety defect in the vehicle’s electrical or battery system and should be investigated. My airbags system has malfunction for both driver and passenger side. The brake system has a malfunction as well as emergency braking system the steering has a malfunction as well.

Tl the contact owns a 2012 BMW 750li. While driving 30 mph, the contact's air bag deployed without warning or impact. The contact lost control of the vehicle and the contact's girlfriend grabbed the steering wheel. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to checkered flag BMW (5225 virginia beach blvd, virginia beach, va 23462, (866) 414-7820) where it was diagnosed that new air bags and a new steering wheel were needed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 60,000.

The contact owns a 2012 BMW 750li. While driving 70 mph, the check engine and power steering warning indicators illuminated. The contact pulled off the main highway, turned off and restarted the engine, but the gear shifter failed to move. The manufacturer was called and informed the contact that the vehicle would have to be towed to the dealer (brian harris BMW, 12336 airline hwy, baton rouge, la 70817, (225) 754-1200) for diagnostic testing and repairs. The contact was awaiting the diagnostic results from the dealer. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 50,000.

While driving about 20 miles per hour approaching a stop, the car shifted into netral and on the dash indicated the gear is now "n", then steering wheel locked and I could not turn to pull off the road. This was dangerous as I was in the middle of the road. After turning off the car, turning it back on, the problem disappears. If this fault happens on a highway, it can cause a fatal accident if the steering wheel locks and gear shifts to neutral. My name is jeremy taylor. I was turning off of frontage rd onto northside dr slowly and my left front tire fell right into a huge pothote which blew my tire completely out. This is my 3rd time having to get a brand new tire due to the streets of jackson,ms. The 1st two times I was upset but, as usual, did not be a baby about it but went on to get my car fixed on my own. This time, I am extremely upset, and am very tired of spending money on my car when the only damage comes from this city. Also, my car made a small squeaking noise afterwards and a seatbelt warning is on in my dashboard. Parts for my car are very expensive. The tire alone is enough. I was not speeding or driving wreckless and I cannot continue to pay for the damages caused from the streets. Since new, my car¿s steering has pulled dangerously to the right, such that my hands must remain on the steering wheel to keep the car driving straight, and if I let go and coast the car veers to the right and into neighboring lanes on a moment¿s notice. Four alignments have been performed to the car by two manufacturer authorized dealerships, all of which have not remedied the problem, and have caused the problem to worsen, if anything. This problem does not only affect my model, the 2011 BMW 7 series, but 2010 and 2011 BMW 5 series as well, as there are numerous pages documenting same on internet message boards, to the extent that it appears BMW is aware of the problem, but that they are returning cars to customers after supposed repairs or after claiming that there are no problems at all by falsifying repair orders - only for the problem to remain, if not worsen. This is a dangerous predicament that needs to be publicized so people are aware. Please advise at your earliest and please contact me with any questions you may have. When I first bought the car I had problems with the air conditioner, since then my car has been in the shop almost monthly for problems with the engine and the transmission and steering. BMW writes on the yellow sheet that they have you sign with what you tell them but when you go back the invoice that you are given is different that what you signed for. I recently learned that when I noticed that the invoice does not have the information that was written when I was in front of the service advisor. Which means that when you are asking for copies of you repair order the information is different than your original complaint.
