Tl- the contact owns a 2008 BMW X3. The contact stated that the vehicle leaked oil same day the vehicle was purchased from an independent dealer. There was no warning indicators. The vehicle was taken to the lauderdale BMW of pembroke pines dealer (954-620-5050, located at 14800 sheridan st, pembroke pines, FL 33028) where the contact was told that there was a recall, NHTSA campaign number:17v683000 (engine and engine cooling) the technician kept the vehicle for two days and repaired the recall. The technician further diagnosed that the cv joint needed to be replaced and but was not in recall. The vehicle was taken back to the independent dealerr who sold the vehicle. The contact was told by the technician that the failure was not covered by any warranty, and quoted the repair cost to the contact. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000. Fe.
