Front Seat Head Restraint problems of the 2012 BMW X3

Two problems related to front seat head restraint have been reported for the 2012 BMW X3. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Seat Head Restraint problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2019

I am receiving a "passenger restraint malfunction" warning. This means that if I have any passengers in my car and an accident occur the air bag will not deploy on that side. This is a very unsafe situation that should be covered by BMW 10 year warranty.

2 Front Seat Head Restraint problem

Failure Date: 03/02/2018

Passenger restraint system malfunction message due to bad seat pad sensor which turned of the passenger side air bag incase of an accident.
