One problem related to other fuel system tank assembly has been reported for the 2012 BMW X3. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
2012 X3 f25 engine - vehicle runs out of fuel when gas gauge is between 1/2 and 3/4. Further investigation shows obc test of left tank sensor with a static reading @97 ohms and 42. 2 l of fuel (aka "tank = full") when in fact the left side tank is completely void of fuel. This situation is unsafe and could cause an unexpected stalled vehicle @ high speed on the highway.
