One problem related to wiring has been reported for the 2005 BMW X5. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The wiring harness inside the headlights are loosing the insulation, and there all the bare wires are exposed. This is a high fire hazard, what may cause death of the occupants and others in the traffic. This problem is not just in my vehicle, there are many forums over the internet with the same problem what is not the fault of the owner of the vehicle.
