Front passenger occupant seat sensor failure warning code oc3.
My seat belt light comes on it starts beeping without anyone or anything on the seat it's very annoying and unsafe I would imagine if I was to get into a car accident would my airbag deploy or not giving false reading this happens while driving.
Takata recall - when will I get an appointment to take my vehicle in? is there a phone number for the service department in manhattan?.
The front passenger seat has a permanent malfunction of occupancy detection. The airbag "off" light is illuminated while a passenger is occupying the seat. This is an obvious safety fault, and fails to meet current dot regulations. I do not feel comfortable putting my passengers at risk while they sit there!.

This SUV has 3 safety recalls. Both the airbags are in the takata and the fuel pump creates and extreme risk to me and my family's life. I do not understand why BMW is as a company is keeping these faulty cars on the road. Every time I get in it I am nervous and afraid for my life. Now my wife and kids do not drive with me in the car. It has become a huge burden. It is shameful that BMW but even more so that our government will allow these unsafe cars on the roads. Every time I talked to BMW they try to down play the issue. But I simply can't continue to drive this car and it's unfair to me because dealerships won't even take it due to the safety recalls. I keep smelling fumes from the car and I believe these cars also have additional defects with the radiator to add to the issues already explained above. Today the car stalled and I saw smoke from the hood. I don't know if it was related to the fuel pump situation but it's so annoying and frustrating that BMW is waiting for people to actually die before they will address these defects in their cars!!!! unreal!.

2009 BMW X5. Consumer writes in regards to replacement parts not available to repair driver front air bag module and fuel pump recall notices.
I did received a recall letter about my front driver airbag module in March 2016 and immediately contacted BMW of cape cod mass and as a answer they said that the part is not available in the moment and I will get second letter when it is available and ready for replacement. It has been almost a year and there is still no answer. Now I get second recall letter about the fuel pump in my fuel tank. I do travel every week from cape cod mass to new york and there is strong smell of gasoline in my car on long distance travel, but according to BMW cape cod I will have to wait for the part to be available and just need to get used to the smell. I try to call and ask to order the parts that need to be replaced from the recall letters and from the parts department replied that they can get the parts in a day or two as long as I am buying it as a regular customer, but as soon as I try to get the parts replaced as a recall I get a answer that the parts are not available at the moment. When I contact BMW of cape cod mass the only thing I get is that I have to wait for another letter - I have never been asked for my name, car VIN or any other info, and looks like there is not intend this recall to be fixed. I am concerned about my safety and would like this to be fixed up. Thank you.

I received a recall notice about air bags in August. I have still not received notification of parts. My BMW X5 is now having another very debilitating problem. It shuts off, stalls, won't start, emites very toxic and strong fumes of burning gas when I start my car and when im idle ng. The engine light up s DE n, it shakes, it has no punch. I felt as though it was part of the other recall with the fuel pump and I took it to my local BMW dealership for diagnostics and they dismissed me, told me I had to pay more for more tests and that it absolutely was not the fuel pump recall. In the meantime I asked about the air bag recall and they said no they couldn't help. I complained and shaun ramirez of parts and service said fine, they would fix the airbags right then, but couldn't offer me a rental. After 3 hours and 3 hours more I could not stay because I had to work so he put that I regused recallvwork on my car which is absolutely not true. I just couldn't stay. I needed to make an appointment for acday that I was off but he was very unhelpful. Well yesterday I received thevpfgicial recall letter for the fuel pump and im shocked once again that there is no solution at this time. I have a car that is a ticking time bomb eaiting to explode. Thevfumes arr givibg me headaches, ive got 2 very dangerous recalls that say if I have problrms pull over and fo to dealership immediately. But nobody wants to help me.
BMW has taken longer than reasonable to address 3 recalls outstanding on this vehicle. The first recall is from a year ago re driver air bag. The second recall is from 9 months ago re passenger air bag. The third recall is from 4 months ago re in tank fuel pump. BMW has advised that parts will not become available for at least several months from now. BMW was unable to provide an precise dates. In the mean time, we have tried numerous times but been unable to sell our vehicle either privately or to a dealership. No one wants to buy this vehicle because of the long standing, unresolved recalls and BMW has refused to fix the issue earlier or offer any reasonable alternative solution.

I received 2 recall notices regarding this car; the air bag recall was issued on 2/5/2016 and the fuel pump recall was issued on 10/13/2016. No one representing BMW has contacted me yet to have these potentially life-threatening issues resolved. I feel that BMW should escalate their recall resolution process to fixing these recalls within weeks, not months. It has been too long to wait - especially considering I am one head-on crash away from being killed by flying shrapnel from the air bag, or having my car seize suddenly at 65 mph because the fuel pump stopped working. These recalls are not cosmetic - they're very serious safety issues and need quick resolution.
Takata recall. I received a letter from BMW indicating the recall early this year. However, BMW does not have the parts even after several months (even after multiple requests at the dealership, including one today at orange county BMW in harriman, NY) . My other vehicle (Acura rl 2009 model), which was also affected by the same recall, was replaced with new airbag about 3 months ago. Why is BMW taking this much time to replace such a dangerous faulty part?.
Sudden failure of water pump at 72k miles without warning while driving at 35 mph. Vehicle lost power steering, became impossible to drive. Pulled over. BMW said well known issue but BMW not willing to provide any assistance. Very dangerous defect. Takata air bag recall - listed on Bmws website as available but BMW service center said still not available. Want to sell the car but cannot because buyers are aware of the recall and do not wish to purchase the vehicle. BMW also refuses to purchase the vehicle as a trade in. Will owners be compensated? rear air springs failed at 72k miles. BMW said known issue but not willing to provide any assistance.

Takata recall this is taking way longer than I would ever think and I fear the risk of injury or death. I can't believe it takes this long for proper or new parts to arrive for remedy. Can we disable them from ever working so we limit risk of faulty bags?.
Takata recall I have received a letter in may 2016 to contact the local BMW dealership to set up an appointment to bring in the BMW for an interim replacement of the air bags. Once I arrived I showed them the letter and they said they had no replacements and tried selling other services etc. Now I have received another letter dated July 2016 warning us of the passengers front air bag and it will be replaced once available. We still have a un safe car will no solution. How can we resolve this? see letters and notes from BMW.

This vehicle has had three open recalls for extensive periods of time, there is no end date to when BMW is promising to complete the work by, and the vehicle is unsellable as a result. For over 18 months, there has been a drive air bag recall open and outstanding with no end date. A second air bag recall has been open for around a year, again with no end date. A third recall relates to the fuel system, and again there is no end date provided by BMW. I have raised a complaint before with nhsta and nothing has been done. We are stuck with our vehicle; no one wants to buy a car with open recalls and no end in sight. BMW dealerships have been told by BMW not to purchase these vehicles. Therefore we cannot even sell the car back to BMW franchises. This is incredibly unfair, especially since BMW has been awarded a large settlement from its air bag manufacturer but taken no responsibility for fixing the vehicles at all. Why is NHTSA not helping consumers suffering losses at the hands of this terrible car manufacturer?.
Takata recall, in 3/2016, BMW sent me a notice to replace driver's front air bag module, however until now, BMW does nothing. In December 2016, BMW sent me a notice to replace in-tank fuel pump because my BMW smells gas badly when parking and driving. However until now, again BMW does nothing. I appreciate your consideration for safety.
My vehicle is BMW X5 30i 2009 model year. I suddenly had an error message on the dashboard screen saying "pass restraint system faulty". Dealer checked the problem and stated that this will not engage front passenger airbag and seatbelt restraint system if not fixed. Asked price was $1800 and paid $1500. Absurd price and should be covered by warranty -- its a safety system! I found out that there was an identical NHTSA recall on the same issue with other BMW vehicles just one or two years before this model year. The NHTSA recall code of that recall is 08v384000. I usually ride the car alone and have occasional passenger and never had any heavy load on the seat.
