Duluth BMW dealership service department repaired a recall thats directly related to an issue due to a water pump leak. My X6 currently has a water pump leak for which they are charging me $1600. 00 to repair. However, it is the water pump leak is what causes the potential for the engine to overheat and start the vehicle to catch fire. I purchased my 2020 in 2019 which was the first batch to be made by BMW. Apparently they're stating the x3, x4 and x5. My X6 have this very same issue and BMW have the responsibility to fix this water pump issue. It's not only the x3,4 and 5. Please help me. It's unfair that BMW pass their known problems on to the consumers who already pay an outstanding large amounts of monies for their vehicles. I kept up with my maintenance service ad scheduled and I am perplexed that they did not see that issue when I brought it in in March 2024. It is now October 2024. Please help!.

The separation appears to be a material or adhesive failure and is not isolated. Multiple BMW x5/x6 owners have reported the same issue, indicating a pattern of premature dashboard deterioration. This defect affects driver visibility and concentration and could increase the risk of an accident. Repair costs are estimated at approximately $4,000 due to full dashboard replacement. BMW has declined assistance, citing warranty expiration, despite the nature of the defect indicating a manufacturing or materials failure rather than normal wear and tear.

The vehicle moonroof shattered for no reason at all it was as if an explosion occurred, forcing the glass upwards.

The exhaust pipes on my BMW X6 caused a severe burn to lower leg after I inadvertently touched the pipe when removing groceries from the rear hatch. The tip of the exhaust pipes extends out from the rear bumper approximately 1 inch. The exhaust pipes are located on both the right and left rear side of the vehicle. It appears as if the exhaust pipes are under the bumper when you’re standing over the pipes. No warning lights were visible on the dashboard indicating the exhaust pipes were hot. At this time it’s unknown if this vehicle has been inspected by BMW inc. For exhaust burns.

While driving the check engine light came on moments later the steering wheel stiffened up then released mid turn when I turn the steering wheel the tires didn’t respond I hit a curb.

When slowing the vehicle, at about 4-5 mph, the car seems to engage the auto-start system and force the car to lurch forward (adding power to the wheels) potentially causing an accident by forcing the car forward when the driver is attempting to slow the vehicle. This only happens 15% of the time (estimated). I have taken it back to two different BMW dealerships a total of four times, having the vehicle off the road for over 5 weeks. I have notified BMW north America, as well. They all say the vehicle is operating as intended. I feel that the car adding power to the wheels when a driver is intending to stop the vehicle is incredibly dangerous and will, at some point cause an accident or hit a pedestrian.

I took my 2009 BMW X6 to the BMW dealer, union city GA for 3 purposes: suspected leak of coolant; check engine light on; and excessive smoke coming from both exhaust pipes. Spoke with/communicated via email with BMW svc rep, went over documented concerns. . . To include smoke from both exhaust pipes; received document for approval; which I approved. Received vehicle 3 days later, returning home with vehicle to observe smoke 'excessive' from both exhaust pipes. Returned vehicle, to be told by svc mgr, "I'm sorry, I can only reprimand svc rep, as the work that was done would not correct smoke from exhaust. " then, svc mgr went on to speak of the class action law suit that addressed this problem, but the timeframe to have this corrected (for free) had expired 'by date". . . And this information is usually sent to the original owner. As I expressed to him, I am the 4th owner of this vehicle and received no information. . . He of course was apologetic and gave an estimate of $8k to correct this problem (that I was "told" and paid for would correct the problem). I called hq BMW only to receive an apology and referred to BMW union city. . . To receive a written estimate from the [same] svc manager. *smoke observed wihile vehicle is stationary with engine on; and in motion in both city and on highway. Began 3/16 - 3/31/2020.

�takata recall� I was driving my 2016 BMW X6 xdrive 50i on highway all of a sudden, I heard a hitting sound under the car. I pulled over to the shoulder and I realized front driveshaft had broken off. Fortunately, traffic was heavy and moving slow this allowed me to pull over safely.

My car pulls hard and shudders when turning left or right or reversing at a very slow speed. Dangerous to drive shops have told me but they are having a hard time finding what issue is. My brother said it feels like the transfer case or all wheel drive not working. Shakes hard at every turn like wheel is dragging. My turbo's have been leaking since the day I got car and BMW never advised me after I have repeatedly told them my car isnt driving at max potential. Im always told a lot of white steam or smoke coming out of exhaust is normal. Have had my car at BMW service more than ive been able to drive it. Replaced car battery myself because car kept saying low power mode and BMW service charged me $800 saying it was negative battery cable. . It wasnt the issue. Car went into limp mode a week later. I couldnt drive it for 2 weeks then finally had it towed to a regular shop which said it was the spark plugs! now car transfer case has been bad for past 6 months.

After the car is been driven under a snow storm , when the snow is not clear have to drive to wrk 1 hour away , the next day once all snow is clear the car tends to shake very bad , every time the same when u hit 30mph shakes violently like the car is gonna break apart. But once u take it inside the carwssh and wash it tends to go away? I don't understand it? it's not the snow on the tires cuz I clear all that before , I leave the house the next day.

My temperature light came on and BMW of catonsville says that my two auxiliary water pumps need replacing. They says the parts are not a recall item, but when I gave them reference number 12v-161 which is a old recall number I was told it doesn't apply to my car! also, I don't know if their telling me the truth but I've been told that the engine in my truck has valve stem seal problems for this same year. If there telling me the truth, then I fine with making payment for repairs, but if they have an issue with this vehicle I'm truly "unsatisfied!" can you look into this matter,please? be advised, my vehicle is still drivable.

While in traffic driving around 45 miles per hour at 8a on Dec 7, 2015 on ga400 my 2011 BMW X6 hybrid rear glass sparked with fire and shattered. The sparks were followed by a very loud booming noise. The defrost connector exploded apparently in the rear window causing rear glass to shatter. Pictures attached. You can clearly see where the explosion/spark occurred and where the damage started. Car is at dealer now and they have told me it is not covered. Issue is defrost failure. Car is under full factory warranty. The tint mostly held the glass in place. Problem after problems with this car. Hybrid battery replaced at 18k miles. Engine issues. Battery node issues. 43k miles currently. Purchased in 2013 with 3k miles on it.

Hi my name is kizy kizy I bought a BMW X6 5. 0 2011 I've been having a lot of problems with my SUV! in the last month I've been in the dealership 4 times for coolant issues it's sad because the third time my wife and I were at the movies our eyes started to itch,burning and felt like vomiting. So I brought the car back and they found leaks in the hoses and car was there for about eight days,don the head service manager told me they ran all the test they can and got everything done. On the 3rd of November our eyes started to itch and felt like vomiting again, so I called the dealer this Thursday and told them what's going on,don the head service guy and the head mechanic and the service guy both smelled a sent in my vehicle so for the fourth time my cars in the shop again. I picked my car up this Monday and brought it back to the dealerwith low oil light on and a sent in my car! I love the BMW vehicles but I just don't feel comfortable driving this vehicle anymore I feel like it's not safe or feel comfortable driving it anymore :( my wife is pregnant she's four month in the pregnancy and I'm said that BMW test us as test dummies. I just hope this didn't cause any kind of health issues for us long-term and for the baby,I spoke to betsy from BMW I explained to her that I did not go to the hospital because I do not have health insurance and I did not want to have a hospital bill.
