Air Bag On-off Switch problems of the 2000 BMW Z3

Tl- the contact owns a 2000 BMW Z3. The contact stated that while on the highway before entering a bridge there was a traffic light that the vehicle was approaching when a crash happened. While attempting to switch into the left lane, the contact applied the brakes and turned the wheel however another vehicle caused the contact to swerve into a median, to avoid crashing into that vehicle as it had come into the left lane. The vehicle spun out of control, none of the air bags deployed and the contacts head hit the steering wheel. The contact sustained injuries to the left breast which had ruptured, an mri, bruising to the back as well as neck pains and further medical treatment. The insurance company towed the vehicle to a repair facility and a dealer has not been contacted yet. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was notified months after the crash to determine if they may investigate the failure for the air bags to deploy. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.
