1 Transmission Gear Slipping problem

Failure Date: 10/02/2019

Tl-the contact owns a 2009 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving at 50 mph, the vehicle started to jerk, gears are slipping, the rpm gauge went up and was failing to accelerated. The check engine warning light illuminated. The contact coasted to the side of the road and powered off the engine. The vehicle was restarted but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer and was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000. Aw.

2 Transmission Gear Slipping problem

Failure Date: 03/15/2018

When driving on highway between 70 and 75 mph the transmission starts slipping and rpm jumps up to 4500. Also encounter the same problem on local street driving between 30 and 40 mph, transmission starts slipping and rpm races from about 1500 to 2800. Took the vehicle to local Buick dealer. They stated there is recall on the transmission for that year but not this particular VIN. This is dangerous as the loss in power almost resulted in me being rear ended a couple of times.
