1 Equipment problem

Ignition not acting like it’s in the right spot like not starting when turning key it moves like it’s loose and turned off while driving. Thankfully was driving very slow and coasted to the side of road when it died at first acted like it was going to start again but it did just drive back home. Just bought SUV from mother in law and already replaced alternator last week.

On February 27, 2023 while on the road in the morning heading to work I stopped at a red light. When the light turned green my 2011 Buick GMC Enclave hesitated when I proceeded to accelerate. My vehicle moved slightly then without notice it stopped in the middle of a busy road as several cars backed up behind me as my check engine light came on. Also, while my foot was on the brakes, my vehicle was rolling backwards. In lieu to this hazard to myself and other drivers I placed my vehicle in park. My vehicle was towed at my own out of pocket expense of $125. 00 in addition to $16. 99 for a lyft ride home. Two days later the auto shop informed me they checked my battery and alternator and both was good. They continued to tell me they drove my vehicle and it did not cut off or stop running. I informed them I don’t feel safe knowing my vehicle shut off without notice could they check it again. They kept my vehicle another day and they stated no codes showed up again that they can point to a specific issue. Again, another out of pocket diagnostic expense of $125. 00. On 02/28/23 I contacted autonation Buick GMC laurel to inquire if there has been a recall in place. The representative stated there was no recall in place. After extensive research and review to my ultimate shocking surprise I see numerous complaints have been expressed with Buick GMC from consumers and previous customers outlining their concerns and this hazardous life threatening situation of their Buick stopping without notice. Buick GMC is aware of this repeated life threatening and dangerous issue from consumers and from previous customers year after year after year. Buick GMC nevertheless still remains silent and have taken no actions no remedy no recourse about amending and correcting the dangers of their manufactured vehicles. Subsequently, Buick GMC have not taken the necessary steps to implement a recall.

3 Equipment problem

The power lift trunk closes unexpectedly. It has been doing it a few times and it is very dangerous as it does not stop when something stops it. It closed on my head and pushed me inside the vehicle - it injured my head with the impact drawing blood. It is scary how dangerous this is!!.

In 2017 the timing belt failed with less than 100,000 miles on the vehicle. Timing belt replacement was over 2000 dollars. 2018 the check engine light came on india sting an issue with the caytalic converter. Have not repaired but vehicle will dye while driving. It quit working on interstate and I had to coast across five lanes to shoulder, where I was able to restart vehicle. This also happened on 2 lane highway. 2020 airbag light came on, stayed on for a few days and went out. Hit bump in road airbag light returns.

On 3 occasions, while the car was driven, the car stopped without warning. On all three occasion, the car will not start. The first time this occurred, I took the car to the dealership, carl black roswell. They replaced the starter and replaced all the fuel injector. 2-3 days after the car was picked up, the car stopped again while my wife was driving our kids to school and the car wouldn't start. The car was towed to the dealership again. This time, they said they replaced the fuse block. A few days after I picked up the car from the dealership, the car stopped again while it was driven and the car wouldn't start after it stopped. The car again was towed to the same dealer. They then said they fixed the ground wire. They said they could not guarantee me that the issue will not re-occur. I was concerned for the safety of my wife and kids since my wife uses the car to drop off and pick up my kids to/from school. I contacted gm (through email to the ceo, mary). Gm reached out to me and their claims department contacted the dealership. Gm indicated that they had approved all the 3 repairs (including the 2 repairs that did not fix the issue) and asked me that there was nothing else they could do. I asked for a guarantee the issue will not re-occur and gm said they could not guarantee me that the issue will not reoccur. I then reached out to gm's ceo via email again and asked for a guarantee or replacement of the car with a certified used Buick Enclave or new Buick Enclave. Its been over a week and I have received no response. I have been renting a car for my wife to take the kids to school for almost a month and it has cost me about $800 to date and I am still renting the car. The Buick Enclave is still at the dealership at the current time. The dates the 3 incidences occurred(I. E. Car stopped):2/11/2019, 2/22/2019 & 3/18/2019. I attached invoices for 1st two incidences.

My car make model VIN number is not included in the service airbag recall but I am experiencing service air bag issue. I only have 37,677 miles on the car! in addition, I just needed a new ac compressor and compressor condenser hose.

The fuel mileage reader is not working properly. . . Sometimes when I get gas it registers more mileage than it should. . . . Such as it may be on empty and the amount of fuel that I put in it should register that I would get 115 miles off it. . . . But it will register that I should get 150 miles. Sometimes it registers right and I can drive only 10 miles and the number of miles that I can travel will drop by 28 miles or more. It changes as I drive but doesn't show the proper mileage left as be appropriate. Also my heat is only coming out the vents in the rear and the top side dash vents and the bottom driver side floor vent. The front dash vents have no heat and the bottom floor passenger vent is blowing cool air. The heat problem is when driving and siting. The mileage reader is occurring when driving and after refilling and sometimes while sitting with the car running.

(1) driver door bounces back and closes after open it and when you think it is secure and able to exit vehicle (even if done carefully, slowly and deliberately)--finger caught in door and now permanently bent and damaged; (2) back hatch slams down with no warning--closed on me and my 4-year old son while we were standing under it changing his clothes; and (3) fuel tank will not allow gas to pump (spent up to 10 minutes trying to pump gas and got not even 1 gallon (video available). Husband fixed hatch. All were reported to local dealer in person and excuses only thing given; did not offer to look into anything further unless I paid regular charges and wanted to show me "tricks" they use for pumping gas because it happens to person helping me at dealer with his Buick also. Reported to gm corporate via website and nothing done (closed my file as "unsatisfied"). This was all before recall on hatch was issued (which Buick still has not figured out a fix for it). Letter sent to GMC legal department with no response. Too many safety issues with this car. Cannot be trusted, especially after you tell the manufacturer of problems and they do nothing. They owe for the hatch fix and also for personal injuries. They should be forced to buy this car back since they cannot warn of design defects and put their customers at risk.

Vehicle experience severe roll back when on an incline. It is very dangerous and that has happened to me multiple times and I am afraid that I will hit the car or structure behind me. Reading Buick forums it seems line many others are experiencing this problem as well.

When my Buick has been on incline in the drive or reverse gear, my Buick rolls backwards or forwards depending on the direction of the incline without stopping. It makes it necessary to hold the brake with one foot and accelerate with the other. The problem used to be a small roll back but has recently become to a point where the car doesn't stop rolling. This is extremely dangerous as it does not allow the driver to have control of the car. I'm extremely worried in residential areas with driveways on an incline as it will make it hard to stop the car if a kid is either in front or behind the car when this occurs.

Missing easy to view navigation compass in Buick Enclave driver information center display. Because we ordered the optional navigation system to obtain the rear view camera display, our dealer advised us that the compass display cannot be added to the dic display at this time. The nav compass display is hard to view on the left upper screem display, non-intuitive, and unsafe for the driver taking their eyes off the road. And, you must have the nav display enabled. Our 2002 Buick rendezvous had this dic compass display and the 2011 Cadillac srx that we were considering buying. Buick marketing/product development made a poor safety decision in not having a redundant compass dislay for a msrp $48. 5k vehicle. I used this dic compass display in unfamilar driving areas frequently. A market focus customer survey group would have disclosed this issue. We filed a customer complaint form with Buick's cac center. But, the dealer advised me the case file would be sent to the dealer instead of to Buick marketing/product development! the roominess and value were the main reasons for selecting the Enclave. Mounting an aftermarket compass in a luxury vehicle is a poor solution!.
