Blind Spot Detection Problems of Buick Enclave

Steering wheel is so stiff it over works my arms and shoulder muscles burn it hard to turn literally feels as if the wheels is kind of bumping the frame 5 days steering wheel started to make a weird noise that is now persistent and sounds like a rubbing rubber sound and I have been getting electric shock every time I’m getting out the car and go to close the door since this started making a static like electric sound in the dash over my steering wheel they all at the same time on the same day February 4,2026 scared my car might catch fire.

The contact owns a 2025 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while attempting to switch lanes, the blind spot indicator on the passenger’s side mirror failed to illuminate to signal a nearby vehicle or object. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer four times; however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The mirror was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that the mirror was designed for the sensor to activate within a certain proximity, and if the vehicle or object was not within that range, the driver would not receive a signal. The contact was referred to the dealer, who confirmed that the indicator was working intermittently. The failure mileage was unknown.

Multiple times I have been driving along at interstate speed when the mirrors retracted in to the windows of their own volition without the pressing of the button. I contacted nimnicht GMC and scheduled a service for [xxx] of 2024 at their phillips highway location in jacksonville, FL for them to correct the issue. They stated they were unable to duplicate but did flash the computer with an update shown in TSB the vehicle was kept from the [xxx] until the [xxx]. I picked up the vehicle on the [xxx] from their lot and drove it home. On the [xxx] while driving it to work, I again had issues with the mirrors closing on their own 5 times in the matter of 17 miles more or less, including at interstate speed on the buckman bridge. Again, after keeping my vehicle multiple days, they were "unable to recreate the issue. " I received the vehicle back on [xxx] of may. Today, may [xxx], I again had the mirrors close and trained a camera at the mirrors while driving down the interstate and captured them closing on their own without any interaction with a person. I had taken to alpena mi. Buick GMC address 133 johnson st alpena mi. 49707. When the warning come up on the message center on the dash 28/3/24 that said service side detection system and in the side mirrors each side light up all the time and would cost $875. 00 installed at that time had to pay $80. 19 inspect and advise. At that time was unable to afford that cost to have fixed. So with those light on in your mirrors it was a unsafe to drive in daylight hours and worse in night time driving so we had to limit our driving because of this and both my wife and myself are on disability. . It was a distraction and made for unsafe travel for ourselves and for other drivers on the roads. We were able to afford on 02/04/24 and at time was taken back to. The same dealership for repair at that time they installed the side detection kit cost was $812. 66 which was less then the original cost. Question number 2 with this lights on in your mirrors at all times when we would be driving day and night it was a big distraction that you never would know if someone was in the next lane to you on two lane road or on the interstate. So each person was at risk in our vehicle as well as other vehicles. Question number 3 yes that was confirmed by alpena Buick GMC the dealer I had taken the car to back on 28/3/24 . Question number 4 as far as it being a gm dealer and being a gm part I would say yes. Question 5 yes as I told you in q neeuestion 1 it had on the message center in dash service side detection as well as lights on in both mirrors. In my words this is a reason this should be a recall first for people that are driving and can't afford to have fixed this is a accidents waiting to happen with death please do a recall.

Hello, I’m writing concerning my Buick Enclave 2015. We have had it to dealership for side detection system failure in the past & are now incurring the same failure again! this is a big safety concern & hazard. Poor workmanship on general motors/Buick.

Sunday at 11 ish am eastern time I started the vehicle to get grocery items. The mileage was approximately 68680. The tire pressure warning light and air bag light came on along with the alerts to service air bag, side view collision, tire pressure, parking assist was shut off. The radio began to randomly shut off and reboot and the lower controls (heated seats, gate lift etc. ) would not work, also the turn signal noise would go in and out. Tachometer and speedometer were slightly impacted. Monday I stopped at the dealer after making sure the battery connection was good- there has been no fluctuation of power according to the gauge or even how the items are alerting and the fact my door panel buttons to lock and unlock were not working. They were unable to detect an error with their handheld device even though all those alerts were going across the screen. Appt set for 10/20 at noon to go on the big computer (and probably cost my car payment just to see what is wrong) today (I only have one car and was not offered a loaner even though we agreed it was a safety issue) the traction control light came on and off, the speedometer and tachometer were greatly impacted, the rear camera stated it needed servicing, my liftgate will not work even using the rear handle and sounds like there may be impact in the drivetrain happening as the gear select icon stayed on r for over 500 feet driving forward. There was no hard start, cold day or jump given- also compass is not working either. The radio will randomly say communication system is not working/connecting which appears to impact my onstar. I have seen other issues for this year online and very concerned what electrical item it is going to impact next. I have children (k and college) and it is bad enough I have to use my car to get to work. This will happen in park or going down the road at 55/60 and every speed between.

Blind spot warning light stays continuously lit in both mirrors; power steering is completely out. Vehicle is almost undeliverable at this point. Very hard to turn. Have had fluids, basic maintenance checked. Told it could be the electronic power steering sensor or the the power steering pump.
