Blind spot is extremely large between the front windshield and side windows, because of the enlarged side view mirror housing. Entire vehicles and people can dissappear into these spots rendering them invisible to proceeding motorist.

Front windshield has shadows when high beams pointed on objects like signs traffic lights or lights from a moderate distance, issue only shown at night when your high beams pointed on signs, in addition to road lights from moderate distance shows duplicate lights until you get closer in order for the two lights to be unified as one object. As you can see in the three attached pictures, all the signs has a shadow in addition to the lights it shows that there is another light under the original light while in fact there is only one.

I was driving on a state highway with open fields on both sides. There were no other cars or trucks on the road. Clear blue sky and the temperature was about 50 degrees. No windows were open in the car. I was on cruise control at 62 mph. There was what I can only describe as an explosion sound something close to the sound of a 45acp pistol discharge. . Luckily I had the sun screen closed or I would have had glass everywhere. The front sunroof had exploded and there was a 18" hole in the middle of it. The force of the break went up, meaning the edge of the broken glass was raised about an inch and a half above the rest of the glass and window frame. That kind of a break is caused by stress not from something like a stone hitting it. . The car was purchased in August so the car is only 4 months old. I immediately drove the car to bergstrom motors in green bay, wisconsin, for them to fix it. They took pictures. Service managers name is mitch. He has all the information. There is no police report. Mitch got back with me today, December 10, 2020, and told me Buick would not pay for the repairs because it's glass. I was told the repair would be about $1000.

Multi-function switch failed. Front windshield wipers failed to function as designed. They would only engage when you used the right turn signal. No other function of the wiper multi-function switch would work. This left no wiper functionality unless you turned right from a complete stop. The intermittent function and front windshield cleaner button did not function. Vehicle was in motion on highway during periods of heavy rain making visibility little to none unless the left turn signal was physically engaged. This continued through city streets, turning, and then stationary at a complete stop where it quit functioning all together. All fuses tested and checked and no faults were reported on the driver display or from obd check. Upon replacement of multi-function switch (high beam, turn signal, wiper switch) it was observed that the 4 pin wire harness (blue, green, yellow, orange) that is soldered to the pcb board has only one spot of protection electrical tape on the back of the unit. . As the wires route through the plastic housing to the turn signal multi-function switch they are subject to wear and becoming snagged by normal use of the turn signal or high beams. Having zero protection over this wiring caused the orange wire to become brittle and break away from the module. It is unacceptable to have no wire grommet protecting such a critical moving part of the vehicle functionality. It is clear that this was a cheap design with little to no oversight. All other plastic housing , copper contact points and moving parts were clean and free of debris and had sufficient grease to move properly. This is a very similar problem to complaint # 14v266000 where moving parts have clearly not had proper protection around wiring or wire harnesses.

I have had continuous problems over the last year with the stabilitrack system going off and it telling me to service stabilitrack. However, now my transmission is going out and I have a car that I owe way too much for and can't afford to get the transmission fixed. On top of the transmission my ignition only works part of the time. There is no point in replacing the ignition if the transmission is gone. I have already replaced the motor on the windshield wipers but apparently the previous owner had the motor replaced during the recall so I had to pay out of pocket for that. Not to mention spending over $200 just to get my headlight bulb replaced at a shop because its not simple enough to just take the cover off and replace the bulb. This car has been nothing but a money pit. The transmission has been acting a little strange like occasionally not wanting to shift one day and then being fine the next. The other day I was driving and it wouldn't shift, rev"d up to 4000 rpm and wouldn't go over 40 mph. I'm at the point where I can not afford to continue to pay full coverage insurance plus my car payment on a car I cannot drive.
Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while operating the defrost system, it fails to clear the vehicle windows vision. The contact also mentioned when turning the a/c on, it only blows out cold air for 45 minutes then hot air blows out. The vehicle was taken to murphy auto sales 812 n william kumpf blvd, peoria, IL 61605 (309) 676-4241 where the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 178,475. Dr.
Windshield defrost blower does does not blow onto windshield, it blows into the vehicle cabin. Windows not defrosting. Stationary or moving, makes no difference.

The contact owns a 2017 Buick Enclave. While driving the vehicle, there was a distracting reflection from the dashboard onto the windshield, which impaired driving. While the contact was driving towards the sunlight, it seemed as if the windshield were fractured. The vehicle was taken to sunthrip Buick GMC (4200 I-70 north outer rd, st peters, mo 63376, (636) 939-0800) to be inspected, but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 125.
My husband was driving our vehicle on I-20 in georgia on tues 8/15. It was around 2:00pm, 90-95 degrees, no cars within a 1/2 mile in front or behind. It sounded like a small explosion. Sunroof shattered outward. The shade was pulled so glass did not come into the passenger section. A fine glass dust came through the shade. Buick is claiming it was hit by an unknown impact. That is completely untrue. There was no vehicle, person or equipment anywhere near. It was very disconcerting and the startle/distraction could have caused a serious accident. Please help get car manufacturers to change the type of glass or installation so this does not happen again. In the meanwhile, it should be the manufacturers responsibility to pay for repairs.
I own a 2008 Buick Enclave which was parked stationary in my driveway on March 24th 2016. As I exited my home and attempted to unlock my vehicle I was surprised by a cloud of smoke that was released by the front passenger airbag. It had deployed for no apparent reason. Damaging the dash, radio, and destroying the windshield glass. I immediately contacted gm service department in which they sent out a tow truck to remove my vehicle from my premises and shipped it to a ed rinke Chevrolet service department. Their investigator claims that there was a previous crack in the windshield that caused the 12" of standing water damage on my floorboards and in the airbag sensor module. There was no crack. . . So after being inconvenienced for almost a month, gm claims that the windshield was an aftermarket product and that they've got no responsibility for the deployment or totaled vehicle damages. The truck was returned today Apr. 19,2016 very inoperable!.
The contact owns a 2013 Buick Enclave. While driving at an unknown speed during inclement weather, the wipers failed to work without warning. The failure recurred more than once. The dealer was notified, but could not duplicate the failure. The VIN was not available. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000.
Spontaneous sunroof breakage while vehicle was in motion on a fairly straight and smooth city street.
The contact owns a 2011 Buick Enclave. While driving 15 mph, the windshield began to fog up. The contact had to pull over repeatedly to clear the windshield. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the defroster flapper valve failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Later, the air temperature on the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle varied. The vehicle was taken to another dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure recurred. The vehicle was repaired again. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 47,462.
Passenger side front window developed a stress crack. The crack begins unders the cover for the rearview mirror and extends upwards about 1/3 of the way down window and terminates at the top edge of the glass. The crack happened while driving and there were no strikes to the side window. Appears to be a faulty piece of glass. I have since observed another Buick Enclave with the passenger side front window cracked in the exact same location with the same crack pattern.
While breaking aggressively during heavy rain, rainwater poured from the passenger side headliner onto the dash. Rainwater has been leaking into the car for the past several weeks. This issue was apparently repaired three (3) prior times in 2008, but has reoccurred. General motors has only offered me one free hour of diagnosis time. This is a major safety issue regarding driver visibility, distracting the driver and could effect multiple electrical systems in the vehicles dash due to the introduction of rainwater. The second issue is the vehicle's transmission is failing. Transmission loses power while shifting from 3rd to 4th gear, then abruptly jerks into gear. The car has less than 64,000 miles.
Dec. 2014. . . . Wipers would stop with no warning. . . Which would cause me not to see were I was driving rain or snow, at the time no dealer was able to help due to work loads. . . . . So I had it fix from a tech other than a gm tech. . (which some gm tech should not be) anyway. . . . . It was the wiper trans was corroded that's was causing the problem. . . This is a very unsafe problem to have,. . . . Due to not having gm tech work on it I was told they will not reimburse me. Not a happy gm owner (over 50yrs).
The contact owns a 2008 Buick Enclave. The contact stated the sunroof tube failed causing water to penetrate into the vehicle from the sunroof, the sun visor and the windshield. The drivers side carpet and floor had water damage. The manufacturer stated the vehicle was not included in the manufacturers special warranty for the sunroof tube draining. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileage was 77,000.
Tl * the contact owns a 2012 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that the heater was activated and overheated, causing third-degree burns to the contact¿s foot. The vehicle was inspected but the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure and current mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.
This is the 8th time+ we've had water enter the car through the closed moon roof. Water drips down through the left and right windshield pillars, flows out of the seatbelt tensioners in the 3rd row and through the headliner onto the inside of the windshield. You can hear a wave of water flowing above the headliner, and when woosh it flows when the car dips to one side or the other. There's has to be electrical issues and rust that's being created by this problem. The dealership says the drain is clogged with leafs, from a moon room that's never been opened. This problem is pervasive for this platform (2007-2012/traverse/acadia/outlook/enclave) but I don't see any activity from this organization to address this. The last 2 times this happened braking system failed. Warning on the dic: break assist off and then the red critical failure warning and tones came on while driving. So now I have water on the inside of the windshield and failure of the braking system, while I'm driving. The dealership was unable to pull any error codes, but I recorded the event on my cell phone. Now this is a ntsb issue. Failed brakes and not being able to see out the windshield is a real accident waiting to happen. (note, once the vehicle dried out, the brake failure warning and tones went away. ) good thing we live in drought stricken California or we'd probably be dead a long time ago.
Side mirrors fail to fold or if folded will not unfold limiting visibility, first was the driver side, by now repaired, now the passenger side mirror as of August 2012.
