Unknown. My 2017 Buick Encore while parked in front of my home just blew up at 1 am. I have a video of this occuring. It was on the passengers side. My neighbor stated that he heard a loud bang and went outside. He said parts were flying off my car. I don't know how to send the video but I do have one when this occured. I have contacted Buick corporate and now they are saying that they are sending my matter to the legal department. Buick corporate told me to have my vehicle towed to the Buick dealer which I did because I wanted to know why that happened. I paid to have it towed and tomorrow I have to pay to have it towed back home until legal gets back in touch with me. The way that the vehicle exploded I am scared to even get back into the vehicle. I am so thankful that this occured at 1 am and my grandson was in bed this could have really hurt or killed someone. I thank god that I wasn't driving it. When the tow truck driver arrived he said OH your air bag exploded . I told him that I didn't know what caused it. The Buick dealer never inspected the vehicle. The Buick dealer stated that it was the tire that blew from his visual inspection.
Right rear wheel locked up (froze) while operating vehicle in cold conditions (mid 20's) - brake caliper froze - ruined rear tire.
I got onto the 91 freeway heading east from the long beach blvd entrance. When doing the turn onto the freeway (u) the steering wheel locked/car shifted and both the engine light and traction control light turned on. Car was shakey whole time until I pulled over.
Lug nuts have chrome cap which is supposed to be attached to the lugnut. Lug wrench fits over the cap. Cap comes off exposing the lugnut, however the lug wrench does not fit tightly over, the exposed lugnut. Need separate wrench (not included with the vehicle to remove the lugnut if the cap breaks off.

When traveling down the interstate, the tread from a continental tire contiprocontact catastrophically and suddenly ripped away causing extreme damage ($4915. 15 in repairs) to the body of my vehicle. I filed a claim with continental tires regarding this incident and this claim was denied stating there was prior damage to the tire. Their letter stating this claim was unsigned, and there was not report detailing their claim, or even the name or credentials of the person making this declaration. In talking with a couple of people in tire business who observed the tire, they state that what the letter states and what happened do not make sense. I have called continental tires about the denial of the claim. However, my call to them has gone unreturned. Because of the insufficient data provided by continental regarding the denial of their claim, their unreturned call, and the opinion of others in the business, I am filing this report to the NHTSA.
Took car to dealer ship 5 times for squeeking wheels when applying brake, complained about braking not feeling correct/locking up and they only switched the tires around so I wouldn't hear it on my side,,,really!! its still there now on the other side. . I give up. I die I blame them.
