While driving, my car began to glitch out. The screens started turning on and off, the doors began locking and unlocking, and I lost my ability to steer, brake, and accelerate. I was driving at 65 when the power assist on my steering stopped and I was forced off the road. The check engine light was on and the word steering appeared on the dash it duplicates the description in recall 15168 but there is no recall listed for my VIN number the dealer also stated the same issue regarding the VIN.
My radar to let me know I was going to hit something didn't go offer. It has never failed before and has been overactive actually which I appreciated before. I was doing 60 with my paraplegic wife (luckily not our 5 year old as well though) in the right lane because it's safer to go slower and be there. I was distracted by a strange machine being transported on a truck to my left. This was my fault. I hear the ultimate responsibility and the majority if not all of it. I saw the road construction trucks 400 feet ahead of me at most. Maybe less than 300 and luckily no one was to my right the truck distracting me was ahead so I had room to avoid hitting the construction truck with the sign saying move over. It was doing maybe 15. I almost killed my wife. It was my fault but still the $3000 safety package failed. Almost catastrophically.

While at a stoplight, my Buick Encore's power steering just stopped working. I was only able to turn the steering wheel with great effort. The car would not go in reverse, although when pressing on the accelerator in reverse, the engine would rev. Shifting from drive to reverse also caused the car to jolt. The car is available for inspection. This has happened previously in fall of 2021, and the same exact thing happened, but this time while I was driving through an intersection. I was unable to steer and ran into a curb. My safety and safety of others was put at risk because I could have hit another driver or pedestrian the car has been inspected by a triple a approved mechanic twice (once in 2021 and once now), and they have not found any problems with the car. The power steering and traction lights came on on my dashboard.
Power steering failed when driving. I had another passenger with me and when avoiding a pothole in the road, the car went crazy and it took all I could to control the vehicle and not crash into anyone or another car! I am having nightmares of what could have happened to me and my passenger. On the next day, I tried to start my vehicle and the steeling wheel was locked. I had it towed to vip near me. They did a diagnosis on my vehicle and claim that I need a new steeling column and the circuit board. They did further research and found that the 2015 Buick Encores have had a recall on the steering. They then mentioned that there was nothing more they could do and they advised me not to drive the vehicle as it was unsafe. I then had the vehicle towed to a dealer. The dealer (jacks Chevrolet) claims that my car's VIN isn't included in the recall. My question is if my vehicle demonstrates the same characteristics, why isn't it part of the recall? my car is unsafe to drive!.

Have had the car in the Buick dealership numerous times to get these things fixed. Each time was told it was fixed and I paid for parts and labor. 1. Engine light keeps coming on. 2. Traction light keeps coming on. 3. Power steering goes out 4. Press on gas and have to floor it in order to just crawl to a place to stop. 5 hard jumps after stopping at a light have had this in to tasca Buick and each time they say they fixed it - then it happens less then 2 weeks later. Have told them this car is going to kill someone with the steering going out while driving. I have a 2015 beautiful Buick Encore in the drive that I cannot drive. Twice I was driving my car going about 35-45 mikes an hour. My car started to shake along with a loud humming sound. I lost my power steering and brakes. The over drive light was flashing both on the right under radio and on the dash. The rpms started racing as well one time for sure. I was able to get to the side of the road and hit the emergency brake at the same time put it into park. I was so scared. I waited a few minutes turned it back on and drove around a parking lot before I ventured home. The second time I was close to home and drove it home 10 miles an hour. Since then I am extremely scared to drive my car. Being a nurse I need my car. I took it to sterling Buick in venice. They ran a diagnostic test and it showed nothing. They drove it and of course it did not do it. There suggestion was for me to trade it in. They charged me and sent me on my way. They fixed something with my ac. When I droved the car days later my fiance called to tell me that there was something now leaking from the bottom of my car and took pictures of the brown pink color fluid dripping from undermeath the car. I called Buick. They suggested they would give me on star for 6 months!!! really!!! I they want to beable to find me in a ditch. I can not in good concious trade that car in knowing what has happened. If someone does not have the hinsight to beable to stop it they can be killled or kill someone else! the first time it happened I had my kids in the car and they were screaming. The second time I had 2 friends with me.

The power steering works intermittent. In the morning when it is cold there is no power steering for you park it in the sun and let the inside of the car heat up it will start working. Also, when it is cold if you let it run with the heater going on the floor it will start working after some time. The dealer is saying the steering control module is bad. I have seen that Buick has recalls for other models with the same issues.
Since I bought this car in 04/2018 I had many problems problems as the engine sensor had to be replaced, headlights going out when I was driving, they could not reproduce the problem at the dealership , now the back wheel driver module is bad,it will need to be replaced ,and finally I almost could not drive in the highway on 04/25/2020, I was very afraid that I was going to be in an accident when the power steering wheel locked, abs, brake lights and traction light were all on in the panel and so a warning signal. The vehicle was in motion. I was in rt 206 in NJ, after chester. 025/2020. I had to stop by a market. The car was taken to a shop in newton and it will be towed to mcguire delearship in newto for repair. I am very scared of driving this car and I need a safe car to go to work everyday!!!.
When I turn the steering wheel, you are able to hear a creaking sound that is very pronounced. This just started all suddenly. This happens when turning the steering wheel to the left as well as the right.
While driving 25 mph, stabilizer and engine light came on. While in drive, accelerating, tach and speed dropped to nothing. Stabilizer light flashed. Parked vehicle on the side of the road, service power steering message appeared. Attempted to drive vehicle to near by parking lot, no power steering, transmission shifted into drive but shift gears when accelerated. Speedometer and tach didn't work. Noticed heater stayed on when key was removed. Started car, same message, same lights. Turned heater off, removed key. Hearter lights stayed on, and fan kept running.
