The full type of this tire is continental contiprocontact p215/55 r18 94h also dot is ip5 of8pao 5323. Note there are two letter "o". Either one or both of those could be the number 0. I cannot tell the difference on my tire. When I was driving in a parking lot I heard a loud noise and did not know what it was. I did not think to look at my instrumental panel so I drove around a half mile home. Then I noticed the tpms warning and saw that the tire was completely flat. I saw sidewall damage that look like something cut into my side wall or perhaps that was the blowout. It was cut about a half inch or inch long in the outside sidewall of the tire. The tire only had about 821 miles on it. I check the pressure consistently and it always was the proper pressure as specified by the vehicle door jamb. Also my vehicle shows me the exact tire pressure when on the instrument panel. I checked it the morning before the blowout happened and the tire pressures were fine. Also I look at my tire pressure almost every time I drive (about every day) using the tire pressure indication on my instrument panel. I never hit any potholes or any curbs. The tire looked normal and felt fine when I was driving on it (until the blowout of course). Also according to the dot it was manufactured late 2023 so it does not sound like dry rot. This seems like it could either be a manufacturing defect or installation defect of some sort. A blowout obviously is a safety risk since this could have happened on a busy highway. Luckily I got home safely. When I brought it in to the dealer for repair they thought maybe something hit the tire from the outside. I believe the dealer got rid of the tire so it would not be available for inspection. No warning before the failure occurred.

P215/55r18 94h m+s nothing has happened yet, but we need to get all new tires! when we got these October 18, 2020 they were 80,000 mile tires. The mileage on our car when installed was 33,231 and is now 74,434, so no where near 80,000 miles. There are cracks all around all 4 tires l front the worst, on the sidewall by the tread! we have only been back to sams once for rotation etc. , because it is 20 miles away, so we do it locally at our Buick dealership, or the les schwab tire store every 3500 miles. Needless to say we will not be going back to sams to get tires, ever again! I seriously have never seen tires so bad, and there isn't any recall on them. I know there are 5 complaints about these tires, at least the goodyear assurance maxlife! one comment from a sams in kingston, NY was that, "that was the 19th one with the same problem". This was on the inner sidewall, and mine is on the outside, but I cannot see the inside, it probably looks the same! we hadn't noticed until the dealership pointed it out when they serviced the car. Sams, where we got them won't do anything, saying it is weather related cracking????? seriously, I have never had a tire that looks like these do! as you can see from the photos attached, that there should have been enough tread to get us through the summer, but they are not safe! just glad nothing has happened!.

On highway pressure warning come on and within seconds tire ran flat. Aaa service said sidewall was split due to dry rot. Vehicle has 40k miles. Tires are oem.
Tire suddenly developed a large bubble after about 18,000 miles of driving from new. Tire came new from manufacturer of my 2020 Buick Encore. I didn't hot any thing with this tire that could have contributed to the bublle. I think its a manufacturing defect.
