It failed again around 80,000 and I paid to have it replaced around $900. 00. I now have 117,647 miles on the car and it is being replaced again. Gm said they would pay $500. 00 of the repair cost. I don't know what is causing these module break but it would seems that this would be a part that rarely breaks. I believe the source of the problem has never been established and that it will go out again in 30,000 miles. The unit is located under the drivers seat and believe that he wiring is shorting out on the seat track. If the red indicator is on an I move my seat it goes out in less than a minute. I have advised gm of this but no action on their part.
