Tl-jeff gunnells 256-342-1971. 2005 Buick lacross. The contact stated that the doors would no open from the inside. The contact was locked inside for an hour. The electrical system allows other components to come on including the windshield wipers, the heater, and the locks. The contact researched and though that the system may be hacked. The vehicle would sometimes not start or crank and the engine had replaced at the contact's expense. . The contact has been locked in the vehicle and almost suffered from heat exustion being locked in the vehicle since he is disabled. The dealer jeff key motors 2889 us highway 431, anniston, al 36206 (256) 820-0280 could not diagnose the issue after keeping the vehicle for a month. The manufacturer dismissed the issue and said they only deal with newer vehicles. The failure milage was unavailable. Tf.

While driving the car down the road it will "randomly" shut off. Giving no indication other then dimming lights. Neither the dealership or the garage I went to can explain it. The power steering doesnt work and has almost caused me to crash on the highway and town roads.

I was driving my car everything was perfectly working. I parked for the night behind my house no problems. I went to drive my car the next morning and all of the dash gauges as well as the reverse lights were out. I took it to an auto repair shop with no explanation as to what was going on. The cluster panel was replaced with no luck of the problem being resolved. Fuses were replaced also. This is not only upsetting but it is also dangerous. I can not and do not drive the car because of this issue. How do I know how much gas I have or how fast I am traveling. After doing some research, this is a problem that has come up before with no solution. Something needs to be done about this issue.

S10- direct reply- letter to the secretary from constituent regarding assistance with a safety recall of a 2005 Buick Lacrosse. The consumer stated the air bag light would come on and then go off. The dealer stated it would cost $150 to replace the air bag module for the driver and passenger side. Also, the vehicle stalled slightly when driving up a short hill. There was a noise coming from the front of the vehicle. The dealer concluded the fender was rubbing on the tire when turning left and they simply re-positioned the right front fender. On one occasion, when the consumer started the vehicle, he heard a strange noise and the steering wheel would not turn. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. It was determined, the power steering pump, transmission, water pump and engine were all leaking fluids. Also, the wheel bearing needed to be replaced.

2005 Buick Lacrosse. Consumer writes on behalf of parents vehicle ignition recall problems. The consumer stated his parents noticed the door locks were not locking properly. Prior to the first visit, when the vehicle was put in park, all of the doors would unlock. After the first visit, they would have to shut the vehicle off, remove the key and after removing the key all of the doors would unlock. After the second visit, the doors worked properly, but when the consumers mother went to start the vehicle with the remote start the following morning, it did not work. The remote start worked prior to the recall. After the third visit, the consumers father was given two keys and two transmitters. The dealer informed him, they could no longer help him and the only way the problem could be corrected was to purchase two new keys, two new transmitters and the reprogram each at a cost of $ 390. 00. The consumers parents called another dealer and was quoted a price a $100 cheaper. The vehicle was repaired.

2005 Buick Lacrosse. Consumer writes in regards to ignition key and brake pads recall notices. The consumer stated the rotors were made of poor material. Which resulted in premature warping. Just prior to purchasing the vehicle, the dealer claimed they replaced all of the brakes. However, a few weeks later, something cause the consumer to brake hard, and that action caused the steering wheel to break away from the consumers hands and the vehicle went into a wild skid. He almost went into a ditch, but managed to get control of the vehicle.

Driving down the road lost low beam headlights as well as day time lights , smelled small burning odor and discovered the headlight control in the fuse panel to be over heating and begining to burn a hole in the fuse panel under the hood. Have read of this happening to several of these cars with the fuse panel being the direct source due to wires shorting out internally, why is this car not included in the recent recall?.

This has happened multiple times, when driving at night, the headlamps will go off. There are other times that during the day, the message center display, radio and hvac displays will go extremely dim. Is this a fault with the daylight sensor? regardless, I do not appreciate having a car go down the road where the headlamps go out. I couldn't see. I was able to turn on the high beams and could see again. Next time I started the car, everything was fine. I am entering this information for my mother.
