The contact owns a 2012 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front passengers and drivers seat air bags and the front passengers and drivers door air bags deployed without any impact to the vehicle. The vehicle as taken to the dealer, however the failure had not been diagnosed yet. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 113,000.
Check air bag warning in driver information center in my wife's 2012 Lacrosse w e-assit comes on sometimes ,but goes off in less than 15 seconds. Has 87,000 miles. Is this covered or do I have to take it in and pay for it? she wants to know if the air bag is working all the time, or what?.
Driver side seat belt buckle would not lock, which renders airbags inoperable. Involved my safety; I considered equipment defect. Dealer said seat belt kit was necessary to repair and charged me $235. 60.
