One problem related to air bag on-off switch has been reported for the 1997 Buick Lesabre. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tl-the contact owns a 1997 Buick le sabre. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked when the key was turned in the ignition switch the driver side air bag deployed. Then approximately 20 minutes later the passenger side air bag deployed also. The driver had to be transported to the hospital by ambulance with facial cuts and bruises, fractured cheek bone and whiplash. Treated and released the same day. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 197,000. Bp.
