Three problems related to front seat belt buckle assembly have been reported for the 1998 Buick Lesabre. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Passenger's side seat belt will not buckle or retract on its own. Consumer contacted the dealer, and dealer informed consumer that the seal belt was not a life time warranty.
Front passenger seat belt buckle does not unlock. Consumer has contacted dealer.
Design flaw: driver's seat belt buckle locking mechanism built up against built-in coin box. Had to lock or unlock seat belt buckle properly.
