Speed Control Linkage problems of the 1999 Buick Lesabre

Two problems related to speed control linkage have been reported for the 1999 Buick Lesabre. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Speed Control Linkage problem

Failure Date: 01/20/2000

While in reverse vehicle surged rearward suddenly and unexpectedly,resulting in a minor collision. Dealer has been notified.

2 Speed Control Linkage problem

Failure Date: 03/12/1999

While driving through a parking lot at 5-8 mph, attempting to park, vehicle surged forward and suddenly accelerated, causing consumer to have a head-on collision. This happened in dry weather conditions.
