While driving 35 mph consumer applied brakes and vehicle sped across the road into another lane, causing a head on collision. Vehicle was totaled. Consumer was injured and admitted to the hospital. Information furnished by an unidentified individual, friend or relative.
When applying brakes at stop light, tires seemed to skid, shudder and finally stop. When the traffic light changed, the car didn't want to go acting like the brakes were locked up. Continued pressing throttle and it finally broke free and started moving normally. The initial stop wasn't a fast stop, just normal speed.
The contact owns a 2003 Buick lasabre. The contact stated that the dash detached from the windshield while the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 2,000. Updated 01/18/11 the consumer stated the dash has continued to peel to the right of the air bag and the light has started to flash intermittently.
