Driver, age 82, on way to dr. Office in elmore, OH when the back of driver's seat. The back of driver's seat started smoking and burned a hole through the leather and a hole in the driver's coat that she was wearing. It was a very cold day, with wind chill below zero. The heated seat had been on for approximately 1 (one) mile.
The contact owns a 2004 Buick Lesabre. The contact stated that the passenger side heated seat would overheat and burn the passenger. The manufacturer was contacted but no assistance was offered.
