2002 Buick lasabre. Consumer states problem with cruise control and sudden acceleration. The consumer stated while stopped at a red light with his foot on the brake, the cruise control light suddenly illuminated and the vehicle accelerated up to 50 mph and the gas pedal moved down by itself automatically. The consumer stated he managed to slam on the brake and the vehicle stopped.

The cruise control malfunctioned on three occasions, one incident caused the vehicle to go out of control resulting in serious accident. Yh.
