The contact owns a 1999 Buick Lesabre. The contact stated that while driving over a pothole at a low speed, the strut housing on the front passenger side failed and the hood popped open. The vehicle was taken to a local garage and the contact was informed that the wheel welding was defective and caused the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileages were 124,156.

2 Front Suspension problem of the 2005 Buick Lesabre

Failure Date: 03/08/2007

The contact owns a 2005 Buick Lesabre. While driving 60 mph or greater, the front wheels, steering wheel and the floor boards would shake and vibrate. The dealer stated that the tires should be replaced. The dealer replaced the tires; however, the failure continued to occur. The contact took the vehicle to another dealer and they stated that the vehicle had to be forced balanced. The dealer made the repair; however, the failure continued to occur. There is a service bulletin for the suspension (NHTSA item #10011691). As of December 5, 2007, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. The current mileage was 11,000 and failure mileage was 1,244.

3 Front Suspension problem of the 2003 Buick Lesabre

Failure Date: 09/12/2006

: the contact stated the front end shimmied. New struts, motor mounts, two axles and front rotors were replaced and the problem still persisted. The contact installed new tires thinking the problem was with the tires, but the problem persisted. The dealership was notified of the problem.

4 Front Suspension problem of the 2004 Buick Lesabre

Failure Date: 11/15/2004

My 2004 Buick Lesabre has had front vibration since it was new. Tires have been replace twice, two wheels have been replaced due to slight imperfections, wheels have been balance numerous time. The dealer did some extensive testing and eventually the vibration was within manufacturer's tolerance. They refused to take further action. The front end continues to vibrate and the car now has 33,000 miles.

This car almost continuously wanders from one side of a lane to the other. It is extremely dangerous to drive especially in tight traffic conditions. You spend all of your time steering back and forth to try and keep it going straight. On breezy days forget it, you can feel the car swaying back and forth under you making it even more difficult to control. I filled out a questionnaire from gm when I first got the car and told them "between the sloppy suspension and the over sensitive steering, this is the worst car I have ever driven" and I meant it.

When driving at 50-60 mph, vehicle vibrates, and bounces. Repair work has been done, front rim, two front tires, front and rear wheels were aligned. Dealer contacted and cannot remedy problem. Problem still exists. Provide further.
