One problem related to steering rack and pinion has been reported for the 1996 Buick Park Avenue. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The bolts that hold the rack and pinion broke while the vehicle was being driven. Consumer could not steer the vehicle. The vehicle was towed. The consumer stated that the bolts held the rack and pinion to the frame. Steering was impaired almost causing an accident.
