Two problems related to hood latch have been reported for the 1996 Buick Regal. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving the main hood latch failed. The secondary safety latch let go. The hood flew up over the windshield, causing poor visibility. The hood/its supporting parts/hinges, and inside light were destroyed. Also, there was a dent put in the roof.
While drving the hood latch released from the lock which caused the hood to fly up, cause unknown. Please give any further details.
