Two problems related to car will not start have been reported for the 1998 Buick Regal. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 1998 Buick Regal. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection where they stated that the turning signal had shortened. As a result, the ignition switch and the wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000.
When using turn signals, all dash lights, headlights go off and engine dies. Engine will not restart until turn signal is cancelled. This is an intermittent problem. Replacing the turn signal switch assy has not changed the symptoms.
