The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed as false sensor, oil leak, brake fluid leak. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to william Buick GMC (8201 south blvd, charlotte, nc 28273) but was informed the recall repair could not be done because of rust under the hood and liability issue. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Tp.

3 Engine Oil Leaking problem

Tl- the contact owns a 2002 Buick Regal. The contact stated that there was a progressing leak of oil as well as fumes associated with the engine. The contact notified the dealer more than once and they were not able to provide a repair remedy to prevent the condition. The failure continued as there had been strong fumes of oil and fuel on the outside and interior of the vehicle. The contact later received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v701000 (engine and engine cooling ), called more than one dealer and they were unable to supply the part within a reasonable time frame to receive the recall repair remedy. The manufacturer was also unable to provide a reasonable time frame to supply the part to the dealer as the failure progressed. The approximate failure mileage was not available. 4 Engine Oil Leaking problem

Failure Date: 04/10/2010

Tl-the contact owns a 2002 Buick Regal. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v701000 (engine and engine cooling). The contact was concerned that the manufacturer was not replacing the rear valve cover gasket. The contact stated that the rear valve cover gasket had a severe oil leak. The contact was also concerned that the recall repair would not fix the failure listed in the recall notification. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000. Ah.
