4 Tire problem of the 2016 Buick Regal

Failure Date: 06/17/2021

My tires were black when I bought them at wittlins in menomonee falls, wisconsin in 2020. They have been continualy turning brown on the outside of tire. Now they are a beige color on the outside of tire. It seems the tires are aging terribly. I complained to wittlins a few times about tires discoloration and the manager keeps telling me the tires are wearing fine and said discoloration is normal. Maybe a little discoloration but not like this and I do not even live in a warm climate. 235/50r18/sl (tires).

7 Tire problem of the 2011 Buick Regal

Failure Date: 04/04/2015

Pirelli pzero nero all season tires. P235/50zr 18 97w 45,000 mile warranty. This was my 1st purchased of this brand of tire in 2015. After only about 15,000 in 2016, I was informed the tires were bald and needed replaced. I went back to place of purchase & pirelli gave me a discount for same type of tire as replacement, 4/8/2016. I now have been told these tires need replaced again to tire wear. I have been getting all tires rotated every 3 months, since I owned any car with any tires. Telephone starting 8-7-2017 were never returned to discuss stated tires. I found contact info on bbb web page, left messages for customer service as well as 2 individuals named as product/marketing. No return calls. I also took a screen shot of the bbb which reflected customer complaints in reference to the warranty issues with pirelli tires. And emailed it to pirelli company. I received a call from an individual in customer service, offered same tires at another discount, I stated that was not acceptable, as the quality, dependability and safety is the issue. He said there was no other option. I then received a call from a marketing individual, we had a long conversation about how I rotate tires every 3000 miles and his tires were defective, he requested I email him the invoice & phone log. After a few days I had to contact him, he insinuated I did not take proper care of the tires and only a small portion of the total cost would be refunded. Nhtsa needs to know about these tires, they do not even meet half of the warranty, and the company refuses to acknowledge there is a problem. These tires please need to be investigated. They are defective in quality, dependability as well as safety. By the way, I paid about $1,700 within 2 years for the stated tires.

13 Tire problem of the 2001 Buick Regal

Failure Date: 06/23/2002

The tires on the car have failed. I have done the all of the scheduled rotations and alingments. The tires "goodyear eagle LS (225/60r16) on my 2001 Buick Regal are putting my life at risk when I drive everyday for work. I contacted Buick and they still are making a determination to replace these failed tires, at 23,900 miles. I believe that gm should of tested these tires before they had made the decision to put them on a quite pricy car. Goodyear I believe is at fault for producing such a tire that is a complete failure. I hope that something is done about this problem.

14 Tire problem of the 1998 Buick Regal

Failure Date: 10/10/2001

Vehicle belongs to my mother but I am writing for her. We were driving to hospital to visit dad when I noticed that the vehicle wanted to pull to the right. Asked my mom to take the car in to see if it needed an alignment. She took it to our local goodyear dealer in milton. The tech there said the tires were bad and showed her the tires, the tread was coming off the tire (two on the front), the rears were getting there. She purchased four new tires after the tech told her that he wouldn't even ride in the car. My mom kept one of the front tires to show me - and yes the tread was seperating from the tire. I still have the one tire. (dot number: w2m3 bcb tiresize: p215/70r15).

15 Tire problem of the 2001 Buick Regal

Failure Date: 05/12/2001

While driving rental car from alamo rental, vehicle experienced a flat tire, an inspection of the other 3 tires was done and noted that they were in very poor condition, tires were worn and wear indicators were showing, tires were 3 firestones and 1 general ameria, no other specific tire information given.

16 Tire problem of the 1999 Buick Regal

Failure Date: 01/13/2001

My goodyear eagle LS tires (original tires) failed to pass the state inspection at 16, 284 miles. The Buick dealership & discount tire both confirmed that the tread measured lower than accepted standards at 2/32 on the front tires and just barely passed at 4/32 on the back. Both confirmed it was even wear not caused by bad alignment. I could not believe my tires had gotten to the point of being unsafe on a new car with only 16,284 miles on it. I feel the goodyear tires gm used that year were not good and I feel this should be investigated on other cars from that time period. I was furious I had to spend $400 to purchase four new tires when I'd rotated these and did everything that was required of me. I'm just thankful for the state inspections that brought this to my attention and possibly saved me from an accident from a blow out. I would like to think I had some recourse for this unnecessary expense but doubt that I will. Thank you for your interest in public safety. A total of 5 tires failed. 2 in 1999 at 20000 miles which were replaced by the dealer without charge. One of the replacement tires failed shortly thereafter and was replaced. Last month the car developed a vibration and was taken to the dealer which advised the remaining 2 tires had seperated as well but they had too many miles on them to be replaced; further, neither did he tell my dad that it could be dangerous to drive the car with separations.
