November 24th 2024 my car failed to let me use the brake, I was going about 45mph and when I went to apply brake pressure the pedal was so stiff I couldnt use the brake. Causing from end collision, when I made a trip to springdale to have my car I soected it didnt make it, started backfiring and dying around 65 mph then the motor blew, it had some issues starting but nothing like what happened within that few seconds. Im out of a car now because it drove perfect and I never have to give it thought.

Second time, the car has basically shut down. Brake assist, abs and traction control lights on. Stabilitrak service light. Had to slow down to 25 miles an hour because it was shaking so bad and limped it home. Last time they said it was a bearing in one of the tires. Also states said it has multiple misfires. Having it towed tomorrow to see what it is now.

Mil lamp is illuminated and cannot be turned off or reset. The code displayed on the scanner is for p2138 "throttle/pedal position sensor/switch d/e voltage correlation. " there is also a "reduced engine power" message on the dashboard. Available for inspection upon request. My safety was put at risk before the vehicle was serviced because the car shut down in the middle of the street with cars behind me. I called a certified mechanic to successfully service the vehicle and he cleared the code. My safety was put at risk again after the car was serviced because the code came back on as I was driving on the highway. Car lost power and speed and as I tried to get the car pulled over with emergency lights on, I was almost hit from behind by 2 other drivers. Problem can be reproduced within 10 minutes. Per the mechanic's request, I am taking my car to a Buick century GMC dealership on 7/16 @ 12 pm to be serviced. Warning symptoms before code came on happened especially during times of rainfall. Car hesitated to pick up speed. Overconsumption of gas resulting in decreased mileage.

Issue: brake pedal will stiffen and slow the car down. The steering wheel column will violently shake, as if the calipers are stuck. Once parked, wheels are hot and omits a burning smell. Narrative: after the car is sitting in the sun, while driving in slow traffic the car is running rough, steering wheel starts shaking back and forth, the brakes start making noise when you stop. When accelerated there is grinding noise and dash light comes on. I pulled to the side of the road and turned off the car for five minutes, I start the car and it runs as normal. This was happening for a few weeks. I had the brakes replaced on 05/19/21 (I paid $737. 66 for the brake job). I drove the car for a couple of weeks and brakes seized. I had to have the car towed back to shop (costing me $135. 63) and the shop quoted brake pedal replacement. At that point I took the car to the everett, wa, clyde revord Buick dealership and they replaced the modular for the brake (part # 22997391) and it was expenive because it required removing the dash board and a lot of labor time (costing me another $1347. 31). I feel this is a safety hazaard as my brakes could have seized or a fire could have broke out while I was driving on the freeway. Fortunately, the brakes seized in a parking lot. I did some research on this topic and see that it is a common flaw for this make and model and should be covered by the manufacturer as a recall before someone gets killed.
When accelerating the vehicle after coming to a stop or slowing down stumbling/stuttering occurred along with the check engine light coming on and the stabilitrak/ traction control light. Continued on into the next day with the same problems except the check engine light turned off and came back on with an oil light. Waiting on dealership to inspect. Dealership mentioned multiple cars there with the same problem.
Engines started to putter. Then engine power reduced came on. Car died then the service stabilitrak came on.
07/25/2021 started the motor, in stationary in personal driveway, in idle it began to puff thick white smoke from the tail pipe and exhaust manifold in the engine compartment. Turned engine off within 15 seconds of starting the engine. Left vehicle off for 24 hrs, and tried to turn the motor back on and the engine seized and would not crank over. Tried 3-5 additional times to start engine, with the same outcome. Since this occurence vehicle has been left undriveable and still remains in personal driveway. Recall number: 240412.

While on the highway I came to a stop due to an accident. Once I got through the accident I tried to speed up and the vehicle was hesitant to speed up. This is very dangerous because acceleration is necessary to merge with traffic.

I got a 2012 Buick Regal I brought it July 2018 my car was died out of nowhere about 5 months prior list and then after I changed my oil my car didn't go anymore it sounded like a chain the first night after they change the oil and then the next day I drove it for 2 hours I don't know if the timing is off or what.
Codes p0016 p0017 dtc p0299 under turbo boost p0010 - fluid leak from transmission - stabilitrak light on and off (2017, 2018, 2019)- { I paid to have the issue fixed and less than a year later it happens again} car will not pick up speed - crank / cam position not plausible - timing chain stretched /stuck. ( popping sound coming from under my seat in 2017)these are all issues that happen while driving. I am getting on the on ramp for the highway and my car will not go pass 35 mph for over 15 seconds, even if I floor it. There is on coming traffic doing 60 to 70 mph and that is a life or death situation. I have no way of moving to avoid being hit. My car will stall when I try to drive after stopping at a stop light.
I was entering a city street from a shopping mall. As I found a small break in the traffic I pulled out and attempted to accelerate. My car did not change gears. I was forced to pull off the road quickly to prevent my car from getting hit from the rear. I had been driving around all day on the interstate and various shopping centers without any indication something was wrong with my car. I had it towed to the dealership. This is the 2nd transmission problem with this car in 4 months with now with only 27k miles. It has been in the shop for 25 days now and not sure when it will be ready this time.
Tl-the contact called on behalf of his child who owns a 2013 Buick Regal. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving, there was debris on the roadway. The contact stated that his daughter stopped the vehicle and the e-assist function activated. The contact stated that while attempting to move after the debris was removed from the roadway, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle failed to respond. The vehicle was taken vyletel Volkswagen Buick GMC located at 40555 van dyke Ave, sterling heights, mi 48313, (586) 977-2800, to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 165,000. Ah.
The car stalls when shifting gears. At first, it was only when I was stopped then began to drive and the car was shifting into first gear. However, it recently got worse. I was recently on the freeway and when I reached 60 mph, it stalled, began to shake, and decrease in speed. It wouldn't let me accelerate. Once I got off the freeway and reached under 10 mph, it began to work again but still stalled every time it shifted gears. I've taken it to the dealer and they say they can't find anything wrong with it.
The contact owns a 2013 Buick Regal. While the driver attempted to parallel park, the vehicle accelerated without warning and crashed into two parked vehicles. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. There were no injuries reported. The vehicle was damaged and was driven to the contact's residence. The vehicle was later taken to the dealer (dalessio Chevrolet Buick in boonton, NJ, 973-334-2000) where the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that it was an unknown issue. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
Driving on highway at 70mph and car completely shut down almost causing a serious accident and dash board went haywire brakes locked and service stabiliktrack system and abs assist warnings and it smelled like my car was on fire brakes locked steering and lost power totally shut down glad someone was in car to help me steer to side of road out of traffic had to have towed and there was a recall for this problem before apparently gm didnt get it right I could have died and they are refusing to repair problem since the previous owner had it done before I purchased it and there are other owners having same issues again.
I'm writing about a concern I have regarding the transmission design for the 2011 Buick Regal. I purchased my car from a reputable dealer with a clean car fax in 2014. The car had roughly 45,000 miles on it, and every bit of maintenance has been performed at the appropriate intervals since I purchased it 3. 5 years ago. During the time that I've owned my car, I have put an additional 30,000 miles on it total. I haven't driven it on the highway since July of 2015, and my trips are shorter than 4 miles one way. On my way to work a couple of weeks ago, my transmission completely failed without warning. I was almost broadsided twice, turning left around a roundabout. I was driving roughly 30mph, and without warning it lost power. The "check engine" light flashed, and the car stalled trying to switch gears as I accelerated. When I went to put it in park, it will slide into reverse but doesn't move in any direction. I was forced to push it uphill in a parking garage, so my tow truck driver could come and tow it to my mechanic. I had it towed to my mechanic, who informed me that this design has a fatal design flaw causing the transmission to fail. The enclave has been recalled as well for exact same failure. I then got a second opinion from his transmission expert, who was dumbfounded I was needing to replace a transmission in a car that has accumulated 30,000 miles total in 4 years time. Both my mechanic and my transmission expert informed me that the enclave had been recalled for the exact same failure, and they personally knew of Buick Regal owners who had their transmissions fail without warning. If I had been going faster than 30mph, or been on the highway, it could have been fatal! I spoke with my attorney, who advised me to file complaints with Buick, the ftc, and the NHTSA.
Driving approximately 40 mph when the vehicle became resistant to acceleration attempts. The vehicle started to downshift independently despite the brake pedal not being depressed. Then I lost the power steering, the instrument panel started flickering. It then lost all power and left me stranded on the interstate, narrowly missing other cars. Within five minutes, the flashers and lights also went totally dead. Tried to restart the car again, but would not. Had to have it towed. The failure mileage was at 60,000 miles. Searching on the internet, discover a related problem of gm's recall campaign number is 13136 or NHTSA campaign number: 13v173000.
Out of know where my breaking system just decided to stop my automobile. I had brought my car back to the dealership proximally 10 times and it started about a month after I purchased it for the same problems. My new abs system makes a loud noise once it decides to go on. I know that sometimes for example going under a bridges or going around curves could activate my system. There is absolutely no warning when this car decides to stop on its own, it happen even when there isn't cars, or curves it's just decides to slam on the brakes to stop. It when there nothing in front of my car. I don't line is this one of the apples it scares the shit out of me. You can go from 50 miles an hour to zero without any warning.
The contact owns a 2011 Buick Regal. While driving at an unknown speed, the engine lost power, stalled, and the steering seized without warning. The vehicle was able to restart. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the camshaft failed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the throttle body failed. The vehicle was repaired and the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000.
After driving about ten minutes into my trip last night at about 60 mph, my Buick Regal 2000 ended up losing the ability to accelerate. It then lost all power and left me stranded on the interstate. I lost the power steering, the instrument panel started flickering. This occurred in a work zone at about midnight. Within five minutes the flashers and lights also went totally dead. Even the trunk would not respond to my remote. The car lights and engine had been very strong and never gave any reason for concern. The key has been difficult to remove from the ignition cylinder for several years. This has been the only source of trouble with the car. The red security light on the instrument panel was illuminated - which is unusual - until the lights quit working. Could this have been a problem with the security system? we have not altered the factory security system. It is original. Very dangerous situation.

The contact owns a 2013 Buick Regal. While driving in a parking area to approach and enter a parking space at 5 mph, the contact's vehicle independently surged with a high rate of speed above 60 mph and crashed into another vehicle. The contact applied extreme force to the brake pedal for an extended period of time to try to stop the vehicle. The driver and front passenger sustained whiplash and minor bruising, but did not receive medical treatment. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer who was unable to replicate and diagnose the condition of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a repair shop and the extensive body damages were repaired. The cause of the failure was unable to be determined. The VIN was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 16,738.
While stopped at a traffic light, the affected vehicle's throttle body failed, causing sever shaking, revving of the engine to approximately 1500 rpm, and eventually causing the vehicle to drive itself forward while my foot was firmly depressing the brake. It propelled, out of my control, approximately 3 feet forward. Had I not put the vehicle immediately into neutral while this was occurring, the vehicle would have travel further, out of my control. Had someone been in front of me at the intersection, or if I had not put the car in neutral, preventing the vehicle from entering the intersection, a vehicular collision would have occurred. The exact cause of the failure, per the dealership work order, was "throttle body internal intermittent short. ".
Driving to work in the mornings recently, I have been having some electrical issues with my car. If I use my blinkers, all the warning lights in my dash cluster will light up for a few seconds, and I could feel my brakes pulse. This morning my car stalled when I made a right hand turn. I managed to pull over and restart the car, but I didn't use the blinkers again. This really scared me, as I was just on the freeway a few minutes earlier.

For the past few days while driving my security light will come on all of a sudden and the car will lose power and then instantly come back on. I had my 3 children in the car with me so we all were in panic mode when this happened. It has now made me very nervous to drive because I do not want to get into an accident. Friends have told me it was because the chip in my key is worn out and to have a new key made. I contacted a local locksmith and he says since this is happening after the car is in motion then it is not the key. There is something wrong with the ignition switch. I contacted my local Buick dealership and was told there are no recalls on this and it cost $95 just for them to look at it and see how much to fix it.

Security light comes on issuing other problems gages on dash not working. Blinking on and off anti theft light on. Secutity light stays on. . As a result on research this automobile has this issue and no one has done anything about it its clear that there should be a recall for gm automobiles with electrical issues. This usually occurs when raining or humid. Also results on not being able to start car. Until it drys or sun comes out.

Purchased car in summer of 2011. During the first cold weather car would give a warning to service stabilli trac and that the engine power had been reduced. I decided to pull over and restart the vehicle and it would reset the computer and the warning lights would turn off. I took this to the dealer and they could not replicate the issue. I started to let the car warm up in the winter and this seemed to help until recently. Within the last few weeks I have been having similar problems even after letting the car warm up. The car will automatically reduce engine power even while on the highway making it difficult to get out of the way of traffic. After these incidents the check engine light will come on but will go off after turning the car off and restarting. I have contacted onstar and they tell me the same thing that the warning lights do. I have also had issues with the car trying to accelerate on its own while at a stoplight. After going to the dealer and having them not able to diagnose the problem or try to repair it and not fix the issues, I feel at a loss of what to do at this point. I do not have the time or money to keep going to the dealer only to leave with the same problems. I would think that the manufacturer would be more inclined to fix these issue before people are injured or any fatalities occur due to their negligence. I feel that after reading about other people's similar issues that this is something that should call for a recall.
Shortly after purchasing car used from dealership, car exhibited symptoms of acceleration/surging when vehicle stopped. Also sudden hard vibrations/jerkings and loss of power when driving. Multiple sensors come on (airbag, etc) and don't go off. And all items in dash have gone out (occasionally flickers back on).
The contact owns a 2000 Buick Regal. The vehicle lunged forward approximately 25 feet while the brake pedal was depressed. On two other occasions, the vehicle lunged backwards while the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but they could not duplicate the failure. The current mileage was 71,000 and failure mileage was 70,000. Updated 07/15/08 updated 07/15/08.
