The contact owns a 2005 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated that the vehicle suddenly accelerated up to 40 mph as soon as the vehicle was shifted into drive. The contact took the vehicle to a local mechanic for a diagnostic test. The mechanic could not diagnose the failure. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer for another diagnostic test. The dealer stated that they could not identify the failure. The failure mileage was 130,000. The VIN was not available.
2004 Buick Rendezvous experienced unexpected sudden acceleration. The consumer was parking his vehicle when it accelerated suddenly. The vehicle struck a chain, which was strung between two post, before the consumer could slam on the brake and shut the vehicle off. The consumer is concerned that this may happen again.
